  • OMG HILARIOUS!

  • I must've watched this 20 times and still love it

  • I agree....Straight No Chaser did it first, but these guys did a good job. BUT, they need to give credit where credit is due!

  • wakakaka! you guys need a score organizer! ahhaha

  • same medley as straight no chaser...except straight no chaser did "africa" at the end....who did it first???

  • @mpopovsk It does seem to be the same arrangement. Straight No Chaser's original video of it is from 1998, so I'm guessing they probably did it first.

  • @violaguy09 but it is slightly different than Straight No Chaser's version

  • @Rebekiah86 Was this before or after straight no chaser's version? I think this came first

  • Comment removed

  • @ripstick91 Oops, correction. Straight No Chaser's version is from 1998, but the tenor of Storm Front says (in the comments at the very bottom) that he originally did this song in 1988 with a different group.

  • NOT!!!! FUNNY!!!!

  • Lov it , very funny!!!

  • lol the guys laughing hahahaha :D

  • tall guy on left looks like janitor from scrubs

  • @marktremontirules1 Naaah It's Chandler!

    "Yeah we do!"

    "...Awkward silence..."

  • Ah ah ah ah ah! I VANT TU SUCK YOUR BLAHD!

AH AH AH AH AH AH.

No, seriously, this was hilarious. Very well done!

  • The Grunyuns did something almost exactly like this.

  • lol

  • and a duck Rolflmao!!!!!

  • Oh gods I loved this! Who do I contact to get that arrangement!?! I want to sing that!

  • hahahaha

  • Why does Elmer Fudd have to be holding the camera???? Gah.

  • Three Frnch Hens and a Duck. ROFL!

  • Do you hear what I hear? Yeah I do.... lol

  • and a duck...quack, quack...lol

  • the guy behind the camera is the best laugher in the world lol. a ha ha ha a ha ha ha o god. i love barbershop quartets

  • This guy laughing is HILARIOUS!!!!!! LOL

  • @muziquebox ha ha ha ha ha ha

  • 1...2...3...4........4 silly barbershoppers...AH AH AH AH AH. These guys are great!

  • Ah that was amazin :D

  • Please tell me there's a sheet arrangement of this! Does anyone know if you can buy it?

  • Pretty sure there is a sheet version available somewhere- I sang this in my college acappella group back in 1996, and it was not the first time my group had sung it... but it was also a hand written copy so I do not know who the arrangement is by.

  • I think this is "The 12 1/2 Days of Christmas" by the Pikers of Washington U. (from St. Louis.) First time I heard this while driving, I had to pull over it was so good; but seeing Storm Front doing the sheet-music shuffle makes it that much more better-er. Or words to that effect.

  • @popersteve, it's actually called "Christmas Soup" and has been around for decades. This is one of the better performances of it (as is Straight No Chaser's — I love the little touches they added).

  • Straight No Chaser (the independent band) have also done this song. Their website might have an attribution.

  • why did they change tenors

  • The guy laughing sounds like Elmer Fudd

  • They are very talented,very!

  • Tha laugh at 1 min 30 is appalling! Brilliant group, but why is the count from the muppets holding the camera?

  • Ive been reading all these comments and they are starting to piss me off. These guys are an extremely talented and funny quartet. To insist that they should change their name because of some supremacy group that happened to be formed after is illogical. You need to understand that they have established a reputation with their name. Also think about it this way. If some rascist organization was just formed with the name Greenday, do you think the band should change their name?

  • "Do you hear what i hear?"

"YEAH WE DO!" love that guy in aduidance.

  • this is alot like the 5 mics version

  • I have read all of the comments written about this quartet and this video. My daughter and I have been attending their concerts for six years. As a matter of fact, the baritone, Darrin Drown, was my daughter's choir teacher her freshman year of high school. Jim Clark, the lead, works in a bank and no he doesn't have back trouble. Syd lives in Atlanta and Dave left the group. None of the men are weathermen and in no way is there any racist connection. GROW UP!!! Take your argument elsewhere.

  • so funny!!!! I love Christmas!

  • whats with count laughin through out the whole video?

ONE FUNNY FUNNY AH HA HA HA

TWOOOOO FUNNY FUNNY AH HA HA

  • haha extremely hilarious

    that laugh!!!

    ha ha ha ;)

  • What's up with the laughing at 1:25?

  • LOL I'M TOTALLY WITH YOU THERE LOL

  • Cute lyrics :) I love it

  • The laugh is so funny!!!!! XD

    He sounds like Dracula. ^_^

  • that laugh... Oh my god. Ima have nightmares

  • Hahaha... ah-ah-ah-ah-ah...

  • amusing, though that laugh was just a trifle annoying

  • Anyone know where I can get the sheet music for this? I've been trying to find it for a while with no luck whatsoever.

  • Sheet music? Sure, it's all over the stage!

(haha) But I wish I could find it too! It's obvious that they didn't actually need the sheet music to perform this, short of a musical miracle, they'd have never been able to pull it off. Great fun, would love to do something like this!

  • this guy that is recording has got a nice laugh.

    hahahaha!

  • hahaha yea!

  • Let's make this perfectly clear! Storm Front (TWO WORDS!) has NOTHING to do with the white supremecist group Stormfront (ONE WORD!)! Storm Front is a barbershop quartet out of Denver(SoR - WHICH HAS MEMBERS OF MULTIPLE RACES!)! Get your facts straight. Read before you speak! Understand the specific differences between both groups, and be damn sure that you are not attempting to associate one with another!

Dumb people make me wish sterilization would have been inforced on some parents!

  • Although you may be right, you should still learn to spell.

  • hahahah....haaha...ha.haha

  • now i don't like natziss

  • Just so you know, this has NOTHING to do with the racist group "Stormfront" (one word).

This is "Storm Front," a Barbershop quartet who existed BEFORE the "Stormfront" white supremacist group. Furthermore, they came by their name honestly: all four members are METEOROLOGISTS (weather forecasters), and a "storm front" is a major weather phenomenon.

  • I'm sorry, but I have a real problem with people who don't use correct capitalization, punctuation, and most importantly... SPELLING!

None of these gentlemen are racists... they barbershoppers, and you are a moron.

  • LOL i loved it. great job u guys! LMAO.

  • LOL!!!!!!!

  • So uh yeah very creative arrangement and an entertaining quartet.

  • Storm front is a white supremeist group by the way.

  • Stuntmasta305, see my comment to "Obliviouspet" below.

  • four calling birds, three french hens, and a duck hahahahah

  • what song is it that the guy on the end is singing at 3:38?

  • fucking funny.

  • 4:42 is better for a laugh.

  • 4:19 that laugh is PRICELESS.

  • lol the camera guys laugh lol

  • Amazing! Never laughed so hard!

And I prefer this version to the Straight No Chaser version, even if it is a copy.

    x

  • matmel24, they're BOTH copies. Neither Straight No Chaser nor Storm Front are the original performers of this medley (though SNC did add the "Christmas Down in Africa" bit themselves).

The medley is called "Christmas Soup" and dates back to at least the middle of the previous century. There are many videos of various pro and amateur groups performing it here on YouTube™.

  • @COMALiteJ Did not know that! That's pretty cool. Thanks for the info!

  • Not that it's not funny, but this is an EXACT replica of Indiana University's Straight No Chaser's version. Just search "Straight No Chaser" and you'll see.

  • Ok, I take that back. It doesn't have the "Africa" parody at the end. But other than that, it's almost EXACTLY the same.

  • gocubs317, see my comment to matmel24.

  • @gocubs317, see my Reply to matmel24. Straight No Chaser is NOT the originator of this. Neither is Storm Front. It predates both of them, by decades.

  • Storm Front. Threatening clouds, building cumulus, lightning & rain.

    Thats the definition you fuckers

  • this is not the same as in person it is so diffrent

  • I enjoy good comedy. This is not racist at all Obviousperv. This is comedy at the Barbershop level. I could not stop with just this one vid. I saw them all, and if they didnt get first place at the singing, someone was bought off. Keep up the good work guys.

  • How is this racist in any way?

  • Dear Oblivious Pet... the origin of their name might be 'well worth a study', since you're obviously (obliviously?) 'ignorant and retarded'. They're WEATHERMEN you dumbass.

  • Obliviouspet, "Storm Front" is not the name of a racist organization. It's the name of a weather phenomenon.

The racist organization chose that name for their own purposes (and they spell it as one word: "Stormfront").

This quartet has nothing to do with them (and they keep it as two words).

By the way, Barbershop music was invented by African-Americans, and was first performed in the 1800s in Black barber shops.

  • Not a smart way to name your group in close relation to a supremcy group. Regardless they're good in singing.

  • Oh, please. Both groups have been around for years. The Quartet had never even HEARD of the white supremacist organization until many years later. The supremacists probably STILL haven't heard of the Quartet.

That's like the idiots who condemn Barak Obama because his name sounds like "Osama" and his middle name is "Hussein," even though his parents gave him that middle name 46+ years ago (his SURname is older still), LONG before EITHER of those guys were in the news as enemies of the USA.

  • It's coincidence, they can choose to have their name of their quartlet different. It's like the symbol buddhist use in compared to the nazis: Although they are perfectly innocent, some people will portray them differently.

  • Well, just like the Buddhists aren't giving up their centuries-old sacred symbol (and ditto certain Native American tribes) because of some Johnny-come-latelies about a third of the way through the 20th Century, why should a Quartet who has a legitimate purpose for that name have to change it because of some stupid white supremacists coming up with a similar (but not identical) name?

Think about it: isn't this giving those racist jerks more power than they deserve?

  • Improper analogy. Try this one:

What if a hip-hop band whose members were named Kyle, Kevin, and Karl, chose the name "K.K.K." because of their initials, AND that there had NEVER IN HISTORY been ANY SUCH THING as the Ku Kux Klan before them?

Now, AFTER, or around the same time as, this hip-hop band had ALREADY chosen their name (and had a logo designed and set up web sites and published albums with their name and logo and printed business cards, etc. etc.), THEN the Ku Kux Klan is formed?

  • More on the analogy: long before the K.K.K. hip-hop group even became aware of the existence of said johnny-come-lately Ku Kux Klan, suppose that they had competed in many Hip-Hop Happenin' 'Hood (HHHH — fictitious association of Hip-Hop groups, analogous to the Barbershop Harmony Society [BHS]) conventions and competitions, and, while they never came in first place, had established a record of making it to Internationals, then to the Top Twenty, then the Top Ten, then the Top Five medals?

  • They had all of this scoring history showing steady rising through the ranks, for over a decade, under their name. They may take Silver or even Gold next year.

But, somebody gets offended because their name and logo which they had for years is similar to the initials of a hate group (the only difference being the presence or absence of periods: K.K.K. for the hip-hop group vs. KKK for the new Klan).

If they change their name, then the historical record of their achievements is compromised.

  • In addition to the expense and inconvenience and compromising of their historical achievements all because of potential offense over the name, consider that this would be giving this new KKK *POWER* over the K.K.K. who's been around, and had those initials, at least as long?

If the new KKK found out about this, would they not be thrilled, and be crowing about it on their website etc., how the mere FEAR of them caused another group to have to change their name?

    Why give them that power?

  • OK, so go make a hip band, name it the KKK, or the anti-black band, and tell me how well you do. Why are we arguing this when we all know people will be confused of the Band?

  • GAH!! Are you TRYING to be obtuse? I don't see how I can explain it any clearer than I already have:

THEY DID *NOT* NAME THEMSELVES *AFTER* THE RACIST ORGANIZATION! If it even EXISTED then, it wasn't famous, and they had NO KNOWLEDGE of it.

How about YOU make a hip-hop band and give it some cool name, and then YEARS LATER, after MUCH expense invested in that name, and much fame earned with it, you learn that some racist group that was formed AFTER your group has a similar name?

    Get it now?

  • You appear to one of the only two dumb-shits confused by the name. Get an education!

  • You're comment alone proves to show how fucking stupid you are. I obviously didn't know that they were not one and the other, and now I stand corrected. But perhaps it would be wise to change the name to a different name as the word "stormfront" is now usually associated with 21st centuryracists?

  • hahahah count dracula....one, ah ah ah, two ah ah ah......

  • I thought this had something to do with

    Stormfront . org

Regardless, you guy should check the site out. It's got plenty of high-culture (and too much low-culture) but you may find some interest.

  • TehBloggaar, check out "Stormfront . org" huh?

Let's not, and say we did. I know good and well who they are and what they stand for, and I want nothing to do with them.

THESE guys have NOTHING to do with them, either. They had the name for about as long, and independently, and spell it the CORRECT way as TWO words: "Storm Front."

They also came by the name honestly: the members of this quartet are all meteorologists, which means they study real-life storm fronts (weather phenomena).

  • 2:44 that chord gave me goosebumps.

Otherwise this was pretty darn funny.

  • 4........4 barbershoppers! Ah! Ah! Ah!

  • The guy by the camera sounds like the Count from Sesame Street

  • this song is actually called christmas soup

My sisters high school choir did it back in 00'

it's still a great song though! lol

  • ah ah ah ah...

  • Straight No Chaser (Indiana University) did a more extended version of this--also very good. To view it, search YouTube using keywords="straight no chaser" + "12 days of christmas"; you'll find a couple of clips. I was in Indy for this convention, but missed this particular tour de farce.

  • SOOOOO funny - I would love to see them in person!

  • Very good and entertaining...that guy laughing really had me cracking up!

  • that was no medley that was a mashup.

  • "... and then thersss the fish thing..." lol love these guys! they went from 10th plave to 3rd this yr..:D awesome..

  • interesting. an entertaining group. however, i agree with 4nando--the laugh was seriously creepy.

  • A regular bbs laughfest - thanx!

  • his song is called "Christmas soup" my high school did it back in 02'

  • creepy, creepy laughter

  • I thoroughly enjoyed that. Thank-you!

    Torg

  • nice.... your laugh was fun

  • This is very well done, but what kind of laugh was that??

  • search 5 mics on youtube "5 mics - christmas medley" I bet stormfront saw this and had to make it theres :)

  • Actually, I first performed this song back in '88 in a different quartet.

Dave - Tenor of Storm Front

  • Tell it Dave!

Seth - Lead/ Sound of the Rockies

  • Brilliant! XD

  • He is SO funny, you have to see them!

  • is it just me, or does the lead always act like he has back problems? Adds to the humor during tags, when the other guys go to bow
