He's right about loud engine. Even tough its common rail, it rattles like old VW TDI's on idle....

But once you go over 1800 rpm its a bit better, but still far away from smooth sound that you get from Citroen / Peugeot / Renault / BMW diesels.

I can't understand how you think, there is no problem with this car, it is perfect and the gearbox is perfect, stop being so critical about Opel (and vauxhall... -.-) there is nothing too complain about with this car.

i drove both of them ,the 2.0 t (which i now own),and allso the 2.8 t .They both drive great ,they both have flexride: a system that can automatically reagulate the suspension into a comfy or a sporty driven car. My personal opionion is that you dont really need the v6 engine..The 2.0 t is powerful enough,only the 2.o lacks the v6 sound .Other than that,the 2.0 t is the better choice.(less fuel consumption,and much cheaper than the 2.8!)
