i write just like that! i used to draw in the "standard" way as you put it, but then i fractured my wrist and the cast got in the way so i had to write exactly how you drew it and it just stuck with me, didnt go back to the way i used to write

M.C. Escher is amazing! I love his drawings. I really like yours as well, I even draw the realistic eye, from the video you posted before. Anyways, I really like to draw and may take it a career surrounding drawing, probably not though, but just wanted to say that your reminded me of this when you talked about the M.C. Escher drawing.
