i know fuck road runner 20mb down but the upload is 355kbs up and i am paying for all 3 services and its costing me around 125 a month. and in my area i can only get road runner and windstream dsl which is worse

Time Warner wants to remove FOX like they did KXAN. If they do that people, send them an incomplete bill for incomplete service. My Grandad did that to the houston chroncile when he got an incomplete paper and it worked! Subtract 1.0005 for Time Warner Austin Basic Service and count the standard package divide it by no of chs and -fox.
Bandwidth caps are the norm in many nations all over the world. Go live in Europe or AUS and then come running back to the US to tell us all how good we have it.
Caps & overages apply to all tiers. If anything, everybody will throw their router away so bandwidth doesn't get stolen; more likely TWC will go bankrupt from everybody going on strike against using their services. Then we'll have no more TV either.
The thing is it may be hard for a person to go through 40GB, but most of the time it's an entire household using that connection, so I could see a household easily hitting that.
come to Australia, the BEST package you can get is 20gb on peak time, which is between 5 morning and midnight and 10 gb off peak. Thats a potential for 30gb a month on a $100 plan. And you guys are complaining about 40gb lol

Got to go with Garnett here. Yeah downloads can get big but look at the major rise in legit streaming methods, even through the major networks. NBC, ABC, CBS, HULU (fox and others) Not to mention user driven video content and site content just like this. I mean a high quality episode of the 1up show is like 700 megs sometimes. Think how quickly you could reach that if you are a heavy video streamer... Or god forbid a frequent game player. Man I hope this gets curbed before it goes anywhere else.
