Just bought the same guitar today, except it's not a super sport. Pacific Blue burst with a maple neck. Can't wait for it to come to my house! Second Music Man guitar I'll own.... Simply the BEST guitars on the planet.

whats the difference between the regular axis and the super sport? tone knob, and coil splitting?

from the videos ive seen the guitar doesnt seem to have very much sustain or output does it i am thinking in getting the 1500 dollar one but i dont know if i should change the pickups or if it is just the wood. any advice

this guitar has an assload of sustain and sounds and plays phenomenal in real life just go play one this is just bad youtube compression

musicman did the original then peavey made their version which is a bit different but same principal. OLP also has a version but they are owned by musicman

Axis is great but I agree the JP6 is the best I have ever played too. I returned it for the Axis personally but wish I kept the JP6..still cant complain. Great playing!
