Wow! After watching this video my opinions have really changed about Faye & Anais! Anna was/is always my favorite member from PLAY so I was really upset to know she wasn't in the "new" PLAY!

I can't believe they stabbed Anna in the back like that. I love PLAY and I will always love PLAY, but the way they came about the reunion is terrible. They should have given Anna and Rosie a chance to say yes or no, not keep them away.

@jaylagrad2013 Did you watch the video? Rosie even said herself that she wanted to pursue a solo career. She dropped out of the project not long before everything was due to start. As for Anna...yes I realize she messaged the poster of the video, but I think there's more going on than what Anna or Faye and Anais said.

@BernadettePetersx3 Not necessarily. BTR would have to ask PLAY permission to record Famous and call it there own. Its a copyright thing. Believe me I felt the same way when I heard Famous being sung by BTR. I wanted to shoot them all. I am still pissed about it.

I feel so sorry for Anna. Fanny and Anais said in an interview that it would not interfere with Anna.

becuse she was already busy It's okay to Rosanna not to, because when Rosanna was asked if she wanted to be with as she thanked her no at the last minute. Rosanna was also good. But my favorite was Anna. Sanne is the new member of PLAY is really good and has sung with one of Sweden requires great artist called E-TYPE. But PLAY is not the same without Anna<3333333333333333333

It sucks that Rosie pulled out of the new Play at the last minute. Her solo stuff however sounds amazing (check out "the first time" on youtube, sounds hott!). I wonder what Anna is doing now.

BTW, their version (the original version) of "Cinderella", Waaayyyy better than the Cheetah Girls.

@tjomirs Play's version of Cinderalla is NOT the original version. While I agree that IMO it is the best version a very short lived girl group called i5 did it before them and wrote it. But they didn't stick around long enough for it to be a hit and then Play covered it and thier version (until the Cheetah Girls) became the most famous. Most people think ethier Play or CG did it first and don't know about i5 just thought you should know though. like your comment though and agree about Rosie (:

@BriapcdOTH902102388 Thanks for the info :) (i love finding out origins of different songs, especially when they've be re-recorded by different artists). I looked up i5 on youtube and all I could find was a live performance of theirs on Jenny Jones. Didn't care for their performance though, but it did lay some ground work for how it should sound....and their version (the original version) sounds better than CG. (also the songs been re-recorded more times, Tata Young, and a group called SHE). :)

@tjomirs Your Welocome. I LOVE learning baout the music I love too. Learning who wrote what, produced and such. Tata's version is my 2nd fav next to Play. CG were too kiddy for my taste and she were ok IMO but not great. It's crazy that so many people don;t know anything about the music they listen to but I like to be correctly lnformed and know the stories "behind the music" I like sharing info as well with people who want to know. Cool to see another person who does as well. :)

You probably get this comment alot, but....thank you so much for putting this video and timeline up. I just recently got reintroduced to this group, and love their new stuff. But with any music group that has shifts and such, I always like to know backstories :) (my friend always jokes and calls me "Matt Pinfield" a former MTV VJ lol).

From hearing about how Anna supposedly got along with Rosie but not Fanny and Anais, I have to wonder if Anna got bitter and was mean towards Fanny and Anais because they were the only two girls to get solos on the Replay album.If Anna really did blow the other three girls off totally when they got together in 2006, I can't blame them for wanting to continue the group on without her, as I think anyone would be upset if someone they were practically sisters with at a time completely blew them off

I think we should all give this new line up a chance. IMO it's the best line up Play has had, as all three girls that are currently in the group are strong enough to be able to contribute and take leading roles, instead of having a band consisting of half back up singers like the first two line ups were.

I heard supposedly along with being sick of being in the group, Fanny left Play because she didn't get along with Anna.

Very nice job Courtney. I have to quite agree with your sentiments about older fans being dissapointed in the Don't Stop The Music era, which was a huge step backward for the group's sound, even without taking into account the line up change. As a fan that followed the from the begining and is the same age as Anais, Fanny, and Rosanna, I felt like they threw everything out the window to cater to the Disney crowd.

We probably never will get the real truth about the Anna situation, but....

O.o i feel bad for anna. she and rosie were always my faves, but now i extra like them because they're not part of this dinky reformation Play (as in, even dinkier than when janet replaced faye). personally i think that this new Play is a slap in the face to the old one.

I honestly don't think there was a misunderstanding with Anna at all. I had heard Fanny and Anaïs did not get along with her back when they were teens but Rosanna did, but since Fanny and Anaïs has more power and standing individually than Rosanna they overruled her and kicked Anna out and used the 2006 offer silence from Anna as their excuse to ban her. A lot happens between 15 and 21, they are adults and should've given Anna a much deserved second chance, but instead they got egos and such.

I wondered about these things when I saw "Made in Sweden", since I thought it was so strange that they pretty much never mentioned the other members. So I'm glad you did this clip for all us confused people, haha. ;)

Strange about the Anna-part though. :/ It looks like a misunderstanding, but who knows what it is...I just hope they didn't were mean on purpose.
