I've seen Cosmos at least a dozen times over 30 years. And have a lump in my throat at many points.

But... knowing that our species is finite, self-destructive and short-sighted, it is very probable that our spaceships will be the only things that will remain when we, and our planet, are long gone.

Knowing this, I sigh at Carl's mention of the Voyager ships...
