Wow, you are so very lucky she didn't... um... well, kill them. Usually first time moms kill their litter, and all hedgie moms will usually get stressed and kill their bunch if any humans come in the room before they are 4 weeks, she must not have been stressed, good job!!! Good mommy!

i love your video and all youro hedgies, you and me have a simullar story except mine ended badly, i bought my Rose frome a pet store and she was already an adult when i got her, about a weeks and a half later she had 4 babies, but underneath so much stress she attacked her babies :( they all passed at different times. i miss them :(

the same thing has happened to my hedgehog, i bought her froom a pet store and about a week later she had 4 babies, but she ate one, attacked 2, one we had to put down and the otehr two we gave a way. sadly only one survied.

coldfirenj, did you notice a change in Lucy's personality after having babies? I have read on websites that a hedgehog's personality can change once giving birth and they can become vicious. I have a female hedgie that might be expecting this January. I've had her for almost a year now and I don't want her to change in any way since we've both bonded with eachother over the passed months. So I'd just like to know if the sites are truthful or if it depends on the hedgehog itself.
