  • 3:09 HER BROADSWORD STRAFFED?

I think he means her broadside strafed. Who made this vid?

  • Nice video, thanks for taking the effort to make this and post it.

  • @swuitpoti Blah Blah Blah - more insane facist lies. Just be honest and admit you want to steal our land, murder our citizens and rape our women. Be honest you murdering son of imperial colonialism.

Tell me where are the Amerindians in South America now eh?

Murderers, liars, thieves and rapists.. Thats Argentina..

  • @krackersdave - you are such a big mouth yourself, and ignorant, to top it. The slimey Brits have an History of being Pirates: they started with the Caribbean seas, and they graduated in Scotland, where they dominate as masters till the present day.

  • @121ego Got any facts to back up your pointless wittering? You're an idiot...

    1) First man to land on the Islands was English and he claimed them for England (FACT)

    2) Spain planted an illegal colony but left in 1811 effectively ending it's claim.

    3) Argentina attempted to steal the islands in 1832 but the military force sent mutinied against thier commander and killed him

    4) Britain returned to free the islands from illegal occupation and restablished UK rule.

    OUR ISLANDS - NEVER ARGY

  • @121ego Argies have always been murderers, thieves and rapists - look at what they did the natives of South America! Even today while claiming to be a modern nation you bleat that the Falklanders don't have the same human rights you do!

HA - facists in sheeps clothing indeed - they've not changed and simply cannot be trusted.

  • As an Australian all I have to say is this.. 'God save the Queen' :)

  • @FluffyWesties - you CAN'T say anything else. It's against the status in Australia. You will never be "independent and free" Aussie. That is the truth, although you don't see it. Australia has played being cannon fodder since the Boers, Viet Nam and the IIWW. Wake up.

  • Brave men who fought from both sides. Respect to all of them, those who died and those who survived. Those were the real "heroes" of the war, regardless of victory or defeat. Politicians are all the same: they make stupid decisions, change the world within minutes and send people to war from a comfortable desk and never see the action.

  • parece que los ingleses no se la llevaron de arriba

  • viva argentina carajo!!!!!!

  • In a sense the 1976 Cod War and the 1982 Falkland war were a two stage strategy to save the RN from Dennis Healy and in a sense religitamise armed conflict as legitimate option for the state. Fundamentally they were both the RN,s war. The Cod War saved the Rothesays, Tribals and Type 61 when the were still useful but only Maggie benefited from the Falklands.

Both conflicts did such damage to about 20 escorts that RNs ability to hold the Green-Iceland-UK gap was compromised for 2 years.

  • Volveremos!

  • I must say, if my home country can inflict that much damage upon the Royal Navy, us having lost One ship of importance, ARA Belgrano, and you losing up to 6 or 7. I cant imagine what another world power could do to you.

  • @jamcamvid One ship? You lost your entire fucking airforce, the islands AND 11 thousand troops taken prisoner. You also lost one submarine, 4 cargo vessels, 2 patrol ships and one spy boat.

649 dead, 1 THOUSAND wounded AND 11 thousand taken captive...

Nows imagine with the type 45, Typhoons, Astute's, tomahawks and harpoons what we could do to YOU now.

  • @krackersdave you dont even have money to buy a Mc Burger , Kelper go back home

and leave Malvinas as soon as possible .God save the fat ass Queen , princess ,pince gay and go to hell soon, they are waiting for you .

  • @mk2escort79 You make me laugh you 3rd world monkey - go lick the boots of the evil old nazi you call a president - you are a joke - your nation is a joke and you'll NEVER get control of these islands you evil nazi scumbags.

  • @krackersdave cerra el orto gillllll

  • @jamcamvid For 30 years the Royal Navy's primary purpose was to fight Russian subs in the North Atlantic. No sane man would have planned for a sea - air with Argentina particularly as Britain had been quietly turning over the islands to you bit by bit since the 1960's. It was just impossible to turn even 2k British people over to a government that threw its people - including nuns - out of planes over the South Atlantic.

  • @freebeerfordworkers England: the only country "that did not commit" crimes against humanity or war crimes ...

  • @DarivsArgentina No they are not! It is just that they did not kill 30,000 of their own people in recent times.

  • @freebeerfordworkers From his own people did not, of course, because others are not human ...although only a few million in wars for money does not count ...

  • @DarivsArgentina Did you read my post 3 weeks ago?

a Royal Marine clearing bodies found one of your officers alive but obviously dying. They made him as comfortable as possible & his last words were "What did we fight each other for?" on telling this the Marine wept. Still feel like bragging?

  • @freebeerfordworkers Sorry. poorly translated

  • @jamcamvid Selling a friendly Argentina our latest air defense ships did not help as it allowed you to work out how to screw up the radar. BTW a Royal Marine clearing bodies found one of your officers alive but obviously dying. They made him as comfortable as possible & his last words were "What did we fight each other for?" on telling this the Marine wept. Still feel like bragging?

  • @jamcamvid ja , the british lost several ships , you go back to your stupid wet rock Kelpers, Malvinas belong to Argentina , go back pirates , you cant spread slavery all over the world like you used to to , your hands are sullied with inocent blood , your syupid bation is a 19th century mirage , Germany is carrying you over their shoulders , bastards.

  • @mk2escort79 Britain is not in the Euro you fucking idiot. Christ what a wetback, shithead moron you are.

  • @mk2escort79 The fuck? What's Germany got to do with this? And we arent slavers?

  • @claudiasr1966

Cowards. I think the only examples of true cowardice are to be found in your navy when it fucked off back to Argentina after we sunk one ship, and in your army whose soldiers couldn't wait to surrender fast enough.

  • Im argentine, but my grandma was a kelper and my grandpa a scot. Though I belive the islands to be argentine, I mourn all dead. I like England. I like the music, the soccer, the humor specially. I even have a picture of HM that a friend brought to me from London, just to remind me of the complexity of life. Just cause you have pretensions over something we belive ours, that is no reason to hate you. At least I wont. Trust me and youll see time will set everything straight.

  • Didn't the RN adopt a CIWS after the Falkland conflict? If they had it then, those planes would not have been able to drop dumb bombs on those ships.

  • Makes you think just how would have the Brits fared against the Soviet Navy if the cold war had turned hot, when they almost lost against a developing country.

I bet the Falklands was a real wake-up call for the Brits and for the US in terms of what it can expect.

  • @NorceCodine The British task force was not operating near a usuable air field so basically went in with no air cover, while the Argentine air force had over 100 attack aircraft, against 30 sea harriers, so the Royal navy was always going to lose ships. Those frigates knew they were going to be mauled, because they had to draw the argentine attacks away from the landing zones

  • All those lessons learned fighting against airpower and this government wants to strip the Royal Navy of it's aircraft. How many lives will that cost when we next have to call upon the Royal Navy's bravery

  • In Spanish: From Norte del Sur: Venezuela.

  • @eduarlambert Dear Sir...! Very siertas its words I since my side offer with a lot of honor and homra a homage to them fallen in the war.

  • @ricardo1299 well, so be it

  • a battle between a brave Navy against a brave air force

  • @claudiasr1966

Thanks for your kind words... My uncle was on the Ardent when it was hit...

  • Excellent video.

    Thanks for the upload.

  • why are you playing all this scottish music

  • @uk4q The two tracks on this video were written by Englishmen.

Mull of Kintyre,by Paul McCartney & Denny Laine.

Amazing Grace a Hymn by John Newton from around 1779.

They are Played by the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards,a Regiment in the British Army..........I am British.......the Royal Navy is British........the music is British.

Plenty of Scotsmen have served in the Royal Navy. ..and it suits the military subject.

  • Excellent Naiad49. Great work!!

  • @claudiasr1966 Your abusive comments will not last on these tributes to the best Navy and the Men who made this so.NAIAD49 will wipe all such comments out.

Do your worst you will never defeat the men and ships of the Royal Navy.

All true enemies of the Senior service HAVE BEEN DEFEATED.

    Royal Navy.....ALWAYS......NAIAD49.

  • @NAIAD49 Hi, I joined the Navy with a guy called Ally Leighton. He went down with the Ardent, I was on the H.M.S. Hermes. Like him I never expected to be putting my life on the line, how different now eh? God bless the Falklands servicemen /women. Many of us were boys/girls who did an adults job to win a very important war, no matter what our role.May God be with our service people wherever they find themselves. Bless you Ally. God bless you NAIAD49. Royal Navy, the Best!

  • @troyart The Falklands will always be part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain . I was 11 when the war happened . I watched in the TVs . God save the Queen !

  • Royal Navy - Cheers, comrades-in-arms. Good show down there. God Bless

  • Great video !!!

My deepest respect to all who fought and died in the conflict.

  • Guys, I fight in the Malvinas / Falkland war.

I am a Navy Lieutenant retired from the Argentinean Navy.

Let my add that a war without sense, is a war without glory.

Just our saved honor and a bitter taste of our killed men remain in our hearts.

Argentinean fought for his country and flag.

    Nobody won, everybody lost.

My respect and my memory for my men that died and survived.

My respect by the Royal Navy men our circumstantial enemy.

    Oscar

  • it was a war between two unpopular polititions, and good men died on both sides in a phoney war.

  • @ogbvazquez You say this was a war without sense - perhaps from your viewpoint. We on the other hand were defending our people, our lands and our homes. There is no finer or more noble calling for a soldier than the defense of one's home lands. You insult us and our fallen brothers. These men would be alive today and with their families were it not for Argentinian violence and aggression.

    This will never be forgotten.

As for your statement that nobody won - wrong - Britain won.

  • @krackersdave . Young writer, it is clear that you never were in the front line like me.If you had been there, your comments would have been different.Anyway, Britain troops never defended homes and people. Your homes and your people are in big island close to Europe , not here in front of ours homes and country, 10.000 miles from your true homes. Whole world know that sooner or later this small piece of the older british empire will fall. It is strange that a country who has been the champion

  • @Fuerakks Your arguments are without merit. You are the mouthpiece of the enemy that invaded our lands and put guns to the heads of our innocent civilians. You try to claim you are the wronged party - this is obviously lies to anyone who has access to the truth - Argentina has no valid claim on the Falklands and certainly no right to violently invade our lands as it did in 1982.

The truth is you are a liar, your words are dust to us.

The UK flag still flies over Stanley and always will.

  • @krackersdave It is strange that a country who has been the champion of freedom and who has fought the arrogance and authoritarianism, has archaic behavior as arrogant and as authoritarian as what they have fought.Let me stress that in a war nobody wins. Circumstantially England may still have territorial control, but a violent and disgraceful cost. Not fulfill the UN resolutions put to Great Britain in the same place as Gaddafi or Mubarak.

  • @krackersdave The gunboats policy is an insult to the human race. Trying to sustain it to keep a Government (Ms. Tacher) or a good budget for the Navy is equal to any conduct of the third world dictator. Even so, I confirm my words in my original comment. People have fought. Neither has won. All have lost something. In the case of Argentina, temporarily our islands in the British case his dignity as a nation.

  • @krackersdave Think of that, the world has changed; the human been has evolved. What huge cost is paying England for nothing! And especially my friend does not cheat yourself; I would remind you that your home is not in front of my home. It is on another continent.

  • i like the videos , they are nice tributes.

    :)

  • Thank you..........that is very nice to hear.

  • i was told by the officer who ordered the hatch sealed but it was a long time ago.

it really stayed with him , he could still remember their faces.

  • Been reading through various accounts written in the 80's,it seems the 1000lb bomb that went into the magazine detonated two Seacat Missiles and started a major fire and flooding.....if the hatch was sealed with men still alive,it was not the first time the Royal Navy have had to do this to save a ship and possible more lives.....it had been done in WW2........and it could be done again.

My videos are simply a tribute to our men and their ships.

  • Yes....I heard a similar story,It was Argonaut.A bomb went into the Seacat Magazine but did not explode, one of them died from this. The magazine started to fill with diesel oil.And they both ended up dead.A diver later had to go down into the magazine and report back damage.Thats if I remember correctly.

  • i was on alacrity at the time and we were told that an dud bomb passed through the seacat mag and flooded it with diesel, as the tanks were alongside it. there would be no need to seal hatches as the ship was already closed up for action. they died at their action station.

    RIP boys.

  • Thats what I could not understand.

The ship was closed up for action stations............why would they need to close the hatch when the bomb hit, surely it was already shut.

  • i still remember being told by an officer who rose through the ranks a sad story of two young lads.

i think it was the argonaut and she was badly hit , he was a deck above and below the compartment was flooding with fuel ? if i remember correctly.

the two were trying to evacuate the compartment but were struggling and to save the ship the officer had to close the hatch on them.

for one it would have been their birthday the very next day , their bodies were recovered later.

  • The music is The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards.

  • NAIAD49

This is the best RN Falklands video on Youtube,5 star.
