A good start to fix up Clifton would be to put gang members in prison for 20 years even if their crimes are not serious. Just being affiliated with a gang should be a chargible offense. Violent offenders: 50 years to life, or excecution. Next step: get the INS involved to remove all the illegal foreigners deported & stop them from collecting welfare, section 8 vouchers, WIC checks, families first cards, etc. Police could concentrate on the dumpy Botany Village, Nash Park & Delawana sections.

Before "the minorities" moved to Clifton,it was a lobotomized football town that had an attitude because it could look down at Passaic and Paterson. The problem is that no one cared to notice we were the laughing stock of Montclair, and even Nutley. Get a grip. Minorities haven't ruined Clifton, it was already doomed when "the majority" ran it.

it is really sad to see how much clifton has changed i grew up there in the 90's and comparing that clifton today's clifton - its becoming another passaic or patterson. leveling garrett mountain to replace it with condos, the giant sound wall near hot grill, crime is going up. obviously place change but i never expected it to be like that =/

The ugliest change in Clifton was when they levelled Garret Mountain at the Great Notch. Instead of a wooded slope topped by a sheer cliff, you now see a big wall with the condo rooftops peeking above. What a disgrace.
