Thanks, Phoenix! She does watch some of my videos now and then--but I have to drag her down to the computer sometines, LOL! We did do a hula hoop video together--from a distance--and it is still up on the channel. She's a teacher, so a litttle reluctant to show her face on a channel devoted to pole dancing. But she puts up with my craziness, so I am grateful!
Thanks, Stephy! I've really enjoyed your videos and I'm excited that you finally got a chance to check out one of mine. You are way farther along than I am, so I've got a long way to go to catch up! I'm still just getting used to the idea of inverting and I'm still a little bit scared of the whole thing!
Thanks, Karol. There is still much pole-o-pedia work left to be done, LOL! I have the gallop walk in the editing can (leftover from the old 1.5 incher). Right now I am trying to clean up 20-30 gigs of hard drive. Jacob got a laptop and I can finally delete his war games and old versions of the SIMS, which have slowed my computer to a crawl. I'm hoping this will speed up Movie Maker and how fast vids load from the Broadband cable. Hope you Holiday went well!!!
yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy well done now wenthat arm is in front of the pole with ther out side armu cud hold the pole while u bring ur inside arm round so that u are facing the pole ythenlet go when u feel sacure
Thanks! I will try that... I hope your Christmas went well and that your hand is well on the way to recovery. I can't wait to see you poling again. Keep your spirits up! I've got more crucifix clips to put up later and you can see some of the stuff I tried to do.
Merry Christmas Joel!!! Congrats. You look like you could hang there all day!!! Is the 50mm making a big difference for leg grip moves?
A couple of ideas for once you get your turn - you could handstand, snake dismount or getlow to the ground and begin working on your thigh hold. :)
I am sure all that stuff has already been said- I haven't read all the comments as I usually do - we just got back from Canada so am trying to catch up with everyone :)
Yes, I've started paying attention to what other people do right out of the crucifix. I tried grabbing onto the pole with the inverted butterfly grip, wasn't strong enough to do that yet, LOL! So for now, it's just rolling onto the ground. Thank goodness for all those extra pillows! Hope you enjoyed your trip. I love Canada, but haven't been for several years... Christmas was great, hope yours was too!
Thank You! Hope you guys had a wonderful holiday--and much better weather than we had here in Chicago! Even Santa's reindeer were freezing--they borrowed a couple of blankets from us for the trip back to the North Pole!
Thank You, Katie. I kind of rushed this upload onto the TUBE--I've got a bunch of clips to edit--including lefover spin clips from the 1.75 incher--work that includes the last little bit of Karol's pole-o-pedia (the gallop spin, I think), more work on the LARA (supported plank done on a cross knee sit mount), and several crucifixes. So I am trying to swing my torso around at the bottom ( you know, the little crucifix turn or flip) to get my hands on the pole. Almost got it the other day....
Holy crap Joel! NICE WORK!!!!!!!!! You are so awesome talking upside down like that too, you crack me up!! Merry Christmas to you and your wonderful family!! XOXO :)
Thank You, I really didn't plan the crucifix so much that day--it really just kind of "happened" because my thighs are so raw and painful I had to stop practicing the cross knee work for a few days. OUCH! LOL! So this was a few way to work on messing up another part of my body to even out the pain to another location, HA!
Thanks Simnonin. Last night I put "Espace Musique" on the satellite from SRC-Premiere Plus--the American service from the Canadian French Network and it was playing French and English X-mas music until midnight. And at one point he played a song from a group from Laval and he talked about the Laurentians and I wondered if you and your husband were tuned in and listening to the same thing. Please say hello to Alexia for me and have a Merry Christmas. Joyeux Noel, mon amie!
MERRY CHRISTMAS MY GOOD FRIEND. i appreciate this, cuz ive had a SUPER SUPER HORRIBLE WEEK, you can read more on the last few days in my latest horrendous video, BUT you did make me smile 4 honestly about the first time in days, and with you supportin and cheerin me on i believe i might get thru anything, i just need that boost sometimes, and thats what i needed this morning, its soo appreciated, and as far as your moves? a gal couldnt be more proud, u did EXCELLENT! i give you 10 stars!! luv ya
ps- moves of the mo. shall live on, i did take multiple vids b4 the 'incident' that just happened, so ill post something, till im up on the pole again...ur the best dont ever change xoxo
OH NO! I hope nothing bad happened on the pole--I haven't checked out my new videos yet. But hey, I took your tutorial as a bit of a personal challenge to improve myself and frankly, that was good thing because you ladies on You-Tube have really helped me discover a part of my personality that is a little more freaky, funky, and adventurous! So I am still super cautious--but I like it that you pushed me to achieve a higher level. I am very grateful for that. Merry Christmas, Take Care, Shelly!
no, oddly NOT pole related, but i know u know what happened now, & thanks 4 this vid, & for your comments on my new one, b4 the burn. they mean alot to me and i left multiple responses:) i hope u dont have to fish hard for them, it was a long story lol. welp hun, i also appreciate that last comment, that means ever so much to me, and if there is anything ur stuck on, JUST WRITE, & even in a few days from now, the butt will be covered up, bt id still do the very best i can 4 U ok? much luv shel
yay, that was ace.i know you say about the knees,it really will make a difference because you will feel a lot more solid on the pole ,then you can let go and just move that arm from front to back..great job though, real proud of you. merry christmas xx
That's what I want to do next--just get that chest and torso around the pole and put my hands on the pole--even if it is a "pretend" grip. Just wanna know what that feels like to be slithering down the pole in a real invert--even if I look like a clumsy idiot. I just want to be holding my body in an invert and maybe snap a picture of get a nice still shot off the video monitor to put on the wall, LOL!
Merry Christmas Joel. Yeah for you! You did great on your invert. I love to read your post and then watch the clip. I always have a huge smile on my face and love to cheer you on. Looking forward to your next post.
Thank You! I was really thrilled to finally get the inverted crucifix that day. I will post all of the variattions later because I need tips on how to get my torso "around" the pole to get the pole cat grip and suggestions on what to do next!
That's fabulous.
