Mike Brown made some good take downs and submission attempts. I don´t know what would happened if Urijah didn´t brake his hand. If the fight would have gone the same way or if Urijah would have won because he could punch with his right hand.
Brown won that fight convincingly. However, had Faber not broken his hand, the fight would have had a totally different outcome. The whole first round Faber owned Brown in the standup game. He was teeing off on his face left and right. After his hand broke, all he could do was throw weak lefts and elbows. If Faber has a solid 2 hands the whole fight, he wins. Hands down. kasdri, its hard enough winning a fight after breaking your strong hand in the FIRST round not the fourth, let alone lasting all 5 rounds only throwing elbows and kicks. If Urijah had not broken his hand that early in the round the outcome would have been totally different with the several opportunities he had to choke Brown out but was unable to hold the chokes tight enough cause he couldnt grab his hand. If Urijah had not broken his hand that early in the round the outcome would have been totally different with the several opportunities he had to choke Brown out but was unable to hold the chokes tight enough cause he couldnt grab his hand. Dont get me wrong, Mike Brown is a bad ass but faber will regain his belt.

Watch the replay dude, even ringside said he had it sunk deep, but couldnt hold it because of the broken hand, and besides, you dont have to always have a rear naked choke choke to choke a fighter out. He broke his most powerful weapon in the first round. He lost his right jab and you can't submit anyone with one hand. What else can he do? He threw a ton of elbows and tried to land his kicks. The only thing I didn't see Faber use was spinning back kicks. What did Brown do? Swing and miss. And takedowns. That's it.

i dont think you can say brown got lucky or that it was a fluke since faber made a flashy move and it did not work out for him. it was his own fault. faber is known for doing that on occasion but brown is obviously not the guy to do that to. i think that this time around it will be a better fight and will go passed the first and second rounds. unless faber submits brown, i see brown coming out on top.
