  • Don't you wish you could be a three time National Champion and 2 time Olympian doing only "twizzles and those 'helicopter/pirouette things.." Johnny weir is special, no matter how you look at it. I hear the ISU are making an effort to reward jumps and decrease the points granted for footwork, after the 2010 Vancouver Olympics..

  • Jee, all what he does in his foot work are twizzles and those helicopter/pirouette things.

The use of the full body and the turns is what makes the foot work. All the turns, there are more turns then just back 3 mohawk. What about loops, choctaws, brackets, rockers and counters.

I'm pretty sure that those were not split jumps either, they looked like falling leaves. I wasn't paying that much attention anymore at that point.

  • What makes a step sequence feel magical? Johnny Weir, that's what! No skater has his artistic grace! :^D

  • I completely agree!

  • just wanted to say... there's 3 basic kinds of step sequences. straight, line, circular, and SERPENTINE. (s-shape.)
