Yeah..classic.I guess it was from them Various Dj Clue mixtapes. Love the beat and the lyrics on point too...Its back to the beef and the foods gone!! True story
Im only 19 but I remember If I ruled the World when I was a yung bul, but it seem like Nas been on top of the rap game from 94-97, then i remember he was killin the game again from 2001-04. He gonna go hard this yr 2010 n beyond
My dude, he has been on top of the rap game ever since he came out, he never fell. The thing with Nas and his music is that he is way ahead of the times and niggas is too stupid to ever understand his level of perfection in the rap game.
@CNDigital Nah man, Id say I am and Nastradamus were average albums for him, they didnt seem that great, they had some classic tracks on it. But as a whole I think he wasnt on as much point as he shouldve been. N i dont think he ever fell off, he just wasnt as dominant
@dbbzzz I think that those periods in his career was when I really how downloading can affect an artist's output. As a lot of the tracks from both albums were scrapped when the leakage, and the albums had to be refilled within what must've been a short period, I give credit to Nas' original intent. Yet and still, they have some classic tracks like you're saying. "Nastradamus" is the black sheep of his catalogue, and it has some of his stuff most worthy of the "street poet" title. Prophetic.
this is so flava i love nas they wanna biter like a saber tooth-but he was like a ruler the year was 96' slick waves gettin paid alot of bitches on his dick-the formed a new era without no terror i had the it was written tape bumpin since forever-he be talkin the real shit government reveal shit they be hatin bad cuz he tellin the truth
Nature's verse was hilarious and great. I miss the summer time. There's no sense of community in the hood no more. Only time we ever get together is when somebody gets murdered.
2Pac from my perspective is the most influencial rap musician to me personally, yet I wouldn't consider him a perfectionist lyrically like Nas. The phobia of death and his inevitable paranoia prevented that.
This is the first time since 2000 that Ive heard this. I remember the first time on a cassette tape( youngins need not remember them), Damn thank you so much. Ima bang this every chance I get.
Which album are you referring too? His best joints seem to be the joints that he leaves off his albums to be honest; but is there one album you are talking about in particular?
No Nas IS HIP HOP. Pac the greatest to me, but Nas' catolog the best of all time. His underground shit even better, if that's possible. If y'all like that real hip hop shit, check my page, I got my whole mixtape up, 40 bars and War report my personal favorites. 1

I had this when it first came out on the Cutmaster C mixtape. Nas dropped a bunch of unreleased joints around this time.

He dropped too many joint through out his career. His best material wasn't on the album. This is my only vice about him.
