I saw this movie when I was a little kid. I loved it then, and love it now. "With A Song In My Heart" is one my favorite standards -- by Rodgers & Hart, I believe. Very underrated. I have a great recording of it by Ella Fitzgerald.
@AccordionProfessor : Yes, my dad is still alive. He is 88 now, soon to be 89 in April 2011. He is in good health. He has enjoyed very much hearing all of his old songs that I have resurrected and put on CDs. There are many songs that he can't remember recording but this is because he has recorded so many. Thank you for your comments.
Dan: Your dad looks so good in this. I bet he had a wonderful time meeting Jane Froman and Susan Hayward who were also so talented. I'll bet he could write a book or two with your help ! I am going to watch the movie again, mailnly to see this scene Best regards Lee Mason
He's the one in the dress. Actually, do a search for "Ernie Felice" and view the other videos I posted. Your question will be answered (think "accordion").

Is your dad still alive? He was a fantastic accordionist and we all loved his playing. I post him all the time on face book.
