I got a 04 predator 500 and I'm telling you I had mine beat any quad I've ever raced out there any quad I've beaten yfzs to stock twin banshees with just pipes to 450rs mine just has a pipe and a rev limiter and a air filter PURE POLARIS
You can beat the raptor 700 if its stock. I havn't raced a banshee with a good rider yet. But if you use all your gears the hard things to beat are the other fuel injected 450s. I beat preds in the sand, on the street, in the dirt, they are just too heavy.
@thaundeadarmy I ride with a guy who recently bought a 2010 yfz 450x and bottom end he gets me, top end i run him down. We both have pipes and a K&N, and are around the same weight. It's a fact yfz bottom, predator on top.
my buddy just got a 05 predator 500 i got a 2010 yfz 450x i beat him by about 12-15 ft on pavement dragging i dont know wat yall talkin bout predator cant touch the 450 i just leave him in 4th through 5th there good quads though 450 rules
i have an '05 troy lee edition predator and i have beaten every quad out there hands down!!! the yfz kicks ass on the track, but u get it out in the open or jumping and the polaris eats them alive all day long!!!!! sorry guys, predator is just that!!!
predators definitely the quickest quad ive been on. yfz and ltz's are good on the track but dragrace see ya later lol i like jumping the pred way better to.
@schmobin707 thats exactly what i have and ive been suzukis, all yamaha makes, yfz's and raptors, and even my dads can am 450. that fucker is fast too. creamed the trx 450 last week. all you need to be is a good rider. anyone can beat anything if they have the right racing tactics
I own a yfz and I think the predator would take it in top speed.. But on the track the yfz kills it. dont know anyone who has a pred so i cant compare.
Hey peoples there is no doubt that the predator is fast but when the Polaris dealer tells me that a YFZ 450 is faster by 2 or 3 bike lengths in the drag race then i will have to agree. Have a nice day.
wrong. yfz is faster period. faster in the strights faster, conners faster, track faster on the trails. i dont care if the pred has a bigger motor OMG!! its bigger it must go faster! nope the yfz is a pure race machine ment 4 the track. it is faster. i have ridden then. now i dont care what u have to say. how u defend yourself whatever. either way your wrong, get use to it. im smart your... whatever, life sux boohoo. theres no point in even replying to me cus i dont care. yfz is faster done.

Sorry but I have 09 yfz450r completely stock and I stomp predator 500s all day the only thing I can't beat is the banshee and the raptor 700

I havn't had any maintenance problems with my 450. Just use good oil and change it every so often.

in a top speed competition the predator is faster but ... it can't compete with the acceleration of the yfz
