Ive helped with clean up in Pleasant Grove and i can definately say that you have to see the destruction for yourself to fully understand it. It just doesnt compare to seeing it on the tv and not to mention the smell is horrible. So everyone go and help out whether its in Alabama or Joplin just go volunteer please because this will take years to clean up.
How low and sad have people in this world become when they can make light of and put down those people that just went through this horrible event? Is society really that bad? My heart and prayers go out to those that have lost their homes and family. I went through an EF-4 and I can say it's a terrifying experience and not in the least bit funny. @athenabrightblood I was fortunate to be spared from this tornado outbreak here in Montgomery, but I sure didn't want to celebrate anything because homes were destroyed, and more importantly, lives were lost. I've been close to dealing with a tornado before, but not as close as you were. I pray we never have to deal with anything of this magnitude again in our lifetime.

This is terrifying. A tornado can happen anywhere, anytime. Just need the right weather conditions. We have them in the North too. NJ, PA, VT, OH. I've been through 2 in OK & KS & 1 a close call in NJ. I can't believe that people aren't underground crouching with their heads covered. I watch these videos to face my fears, but I still have nightmares years later. The worst part of videos is hearing the children screaming in fear. Tornadoes are serious. Deadly!!!!!!! My heart is with the victims.

A tornado warning outside of the parking lot I was at souned and no one even blinked at it. My grandma and I were about to freak out and my little sister was in a building with huge glass windows instead of walls. I will never understand how these people were able to so calmly talk about a tornado so close to them. Me, well I would have ran to the back of the chinese restaurant and have a nervous breakdown. The cloud above. Where ever the storm or super cell is going the tornado will follow that course. This is the reason why you don't see them moving in all different directions. Most can go possibly 100 to 200 miles and last about 1hr, 2hrs given the right climate setting to spawn an EF5 or EF4

What is the storm cell? The actually tornado or the cloud above - I know nothing about these things live in UK all we get is a mild shower now and again.
@weirdcitykid Its the mass of cloud above, a little monster storm on its own; it forms little vicious circles within it that they show you on the radar. When they are rotating, those are the areas of the storm cell that can potentially form and drop a tornado to the ground.

Ive helped with clean up in Pleasant Grove and i can definately say that you have to see the destruction for yourself to fully understand it. It just doesnt compare to seeing it on the tv and not to mention the smell is horrible. So everyone go and help out whether its in Alabama or Joplin just go volunteer please because this will take years to clean up.

My heart and prayers go out to those that have lost their homes and family. I went through an EF-4 and I can say it's a terrifying experience and not in the least bit funny. @athenabrightblood I was fortunate to be spared from this tornado outbreak here in Montgomery, but I sure didn't want to celebrate anything because homes were destroyed, and more importantly, lives were lost. I've been close to dealing with a tornado before, but not as close as you were. I pray we never have to deal with anything of this magnitude again in our lifetime.

This is terrifying. A tornado can happen anywhere, anytime. Just need the right weather conditions. We have them in the North too. NJ, PA, VT, OH. I've been through 2 in OK & KS & 1 a close call in NJ. I can't believe that people aren't underground crouching with their heads covered. I watch these videos to face my fears, but I still have nightmares years later. The worst part of videos is hearing the children screaming in fear. Tornadoes are serious. Deadly!!!!!!! My heart is with the victims.

A tornado warning outside of the parking lot I was at souned and no one even blinked at it. My grandma and I were about to freak out and my little sister was in a building with huge glass windows instead of walls. I will never understand how these people were able to so calmly talk about a tornado so close to them. Me, well I would have ran to the back of the chinese restaurant and have a nervous breakdown. I'm such a baby I was so scared :p

The cloud above. Where ever the storm or super cell is going the tornado will follow that course. This is the reason why you don't see them moving in all different directions. Most can go possibly 100 to 200 miles and last about 1hr, 2hrs given the right climate setting to spawn an EF5 or EF4

@weirdcitykid Its the mass of cloud above, a little monster storm on its own; it forms little vicious circles within it that they show you on the radar. When they are rotating, those are the areas of the storm cell that can potentially form and drop a tornado to the ground.
