As for doing more. I'd love to be able to do graphics and effects on a more professional level but I'm really horrible at working with other people. I never seem to be able to keep up with deadlines either which is really a quite a hindrance for that line of work. I'll stick to doing AE stuff on a hobby level for now.

@asotproductions Actually, I've had a look at the video you're talking about and it's just a rerender of my clip together with some other clip (he probably downloaded from youtube as well) with a lensflare on it. The only editable files in that project file is some animated text. There's no proof that he was the creator of the clips.

Glow is a bit too high... But tell me, how did you make the curser go with the Typewriter (I assume this is AFX)

@MrX3N The glow is fine on the original. It's youtube's compression that seems to boost it slightly. As for the cursor, I simply timed the keyframes to match the typewriter animation.

@NanoNanoDesu Toggle hold keyframes. Select the keyframes you want to use then right click and select "Toggle Hold Keyframe". I used those for the blinking cursor as well.

@FatalTacoo Not that I know of I'm afraid. As I've told some other people before, I'd like to do a tutorial about this at one point but I really haven't gotten around to it yet.

My advice is to play around with after effects when you have some spare time to kill. try out different effects and combinations. And if you see something cool you'd like to replicate, try first to figure out how they did and what tools they used. I do this all the time in my head if I'm watching a movie or something.

@PerryThePlatypoos That's pretty easy actually. It was just a adjustment layer with the invert effect on and keyframed to turn the opacity on and off using toggle hold keyframes. There's probably a way to automate that with an expression or something but it worked well enough for me that I didn't bother to look for an alternate solution.

I don't always (and never will) say this, but this is the only loading screen I will ever enjoy watching in HD. I mean that as a compliment, good/cool loading screens are not easy to come across...

Like I said in the original version of this video, I'd love to do a tutorial about at one point but I need to get around to figuring how to do this in the best possible way. As you might have seen from my videos, I am by no means a professional at this field so I'd hate to have a good idea spoiled by a poor tutorial. I'm also going to have a get a proper microphone and recording software first plus I'm not a fluid English speaker so I'm probably going to have to take a billion retakes.

I believe the font was called "BankGothic Lt BT". I reduced the tracking a bit so I slightly condensed it hence why the letters seem to all stick together.

I'm not quite sure if it a standard font in after effects but I can't remember installing so I guess it must be of some kind. Sorry in advance if I'm accidentally ripping some font maker off here. =3

If anyone have any good idea on how to not make the 'watch in hd' playback look like rubbish, I'd appreciate the input because whatever codec I try, the end result is a shitty, uneven playback..
