Not because they were inferior products, but because Apple never allowed other manufacturers license to build their products as Android and Windows do. Steve Jobs was a great thinker and an excellent business man, but if it wasn´t for his co-founder Steve Wozniak - who invented a personal computer affordable and usable for the people - he wouldn´t been able to start Apple. He was a good talker and suitable to be a leader, but Wozniak was the revolutionairy tecnical genius. There is a dark side to our computers and it's high time people start to talk about it. Child labor in mines. Lots of toxic chemicals used in the production of parts. The disorganized way that electronic waste is handled, mostly piling up in dumps. The electronics industry is, in fact, one of the MOST abusive in our modern society. Apple was part of starting something big and something positive, but it's up to the rest of us to clean up the mess that's been made along the way.
