  • i didnt see any wing chun moves..

  • He don't fight like ip man

  • @KingFreakAce That's probably because this is real life.

  • WC fighter needs to work on footwork and leg jams.Techniques are found in the forms and one just needs to be adaptive. WC's forte is attack by drawing in, then close in. Sometimes WC fighter needs to close in simultaenously with the oncoming kick to jam effectively, which also puts himself into the WC's comfort zone - the trapping range. WC's unique techniques work best by tactile reaction - the gloves inhibited that. Traditional WC doesn't train enough on countering hooks so need to improvise.

  • and also the fighter in black is good ill give him that but if he added some more head movement while hes throwing those straight strikes hed be golden instead of wading in.

  • i feel like the fighter in white woulda have been more productive with straightkicks to the chest. the fighter in black was leaving himself open alot.

  • @ssMajor825 you must be an expert...you should make some videos showing how it's really done

    good luck

  • that WC man got some skills....if he would just stop trying to climb his enemies defence he would be awesome

  • nice, wing chuns realy effective for street fighting but not so much for competition due to rules

  • @bloodyturkey123 it all depence on the person

  • Good job Ishaq! This was a good fight. I personally do Shotokan Karate, but this has helped me learn more about what W.C. can do against an opponent. I still believe that if there had been no ref, W.C. would have ended it. Not saying that wing chun is the superior martial art, or that karate is, but Ishaq could have chained punched his throat. And the karate was fair, but not great... But hey, remember what they say! It's not the martial art that wins, it's the Martial Artist!!

  • Wing Tsun would have won if there was no ref

  • you got to wonder who really does study marital arts in the comments. Reply by saying what marital arts you do study. Student of Tae kwon do, Tai chi chuan and Jeet kune do

  • @banjo13th as long as they don't start dissing the fighters if they got no experience themselves.....if you fight you will know that fighting is much harder than it looks

  • "Well executed moves. Beautiful match.

How Small Guys Beat GIANTS in BJJ

    MicroBJJ (dot) com"

  • very good for a first fight :D

  • good job. seems like a fighter in making to me. remember people, no ones going to be a master in a few years. it'll take a whole life time to master something.

  • good fight

  • the wing chung guy is not intercepting in order to strike , he is only demostraighting that he can reach inside and open him self up for attack...

  • Karate fighter won hands down, this Wing Chun fighter is shit, he's all over the place.

  • this sucks

  • I don't know about kick boxing.. But this nothing about win chun.. I can kick both of this guys ass

  • This Wing Chun fighter is shit.

  • @liotta75 if u go to the right wing chun school they will teach you the full course, and youll know what I meen if you figure it out... Wing Chun is not just bout fighting, but also, wing chun teaches u black palm of death, it scarry, one slap and u kill em

  • It made me so happy to see that even today, people like you are willing to take wing chin and make it a part of your life. Best of luck to you in all future bouts.

  • is this the guy that filmed cloverfield ??

  • 2:01 was great reaction, thats the main thing wing chun fighters have over other styles, reaction time

  • That was a good fight to me. Well done boys

  • Good fight! what Wing Chun school does he train at? I would like to learn Wing Chun...I've studied BJJ for a long time but never really studied any stand up fight cause there are so many schools out there I dont know which one to pic...lol..but Ive always had my eye on Wing Chun...it looks simple and direct..

  • @liotta75 he trains traditional wing chun .. and I am his teacher :)

  • @sifurahsun are you asian???

  • @sifurahsun

    where is your school located?

  • wing chun all about keeping in the centre line and that black man not doing that

  • i don't understand why people are talking bad about the wing chun guy... He seemed absolutly great to me. I saw him put large amounts of pressure and i never saw a punch go through his guard. Plus... he as fighting a guy much larger than him and if this wasn't in a ring... i no who the instant winner would be

  • Like the fight, the guy did well for a first fight, he didn't back out, I studied Wing Chun, Karate and BJJ but first started inWing Chun, the wing chun guys hand movement is already good, he needs to work on kicks and body movement, when fighting a karate guy he needs to stay real close to take away the usefullness of kicks, use of elbows would have been nice, from the Kararte guys point of view to beat a Wing Chun guy he needs to stay outside use kicks and kisk the legs, but he did good!!!

  • It looks like a regular fight

  • which karate style is this?

missing high kicks and more distance to the opponent..

but only differences to what i would to as a shotokan..

good fight i think, go on

    greets from germany

    oss

  • I give them credit. They both climbed into the ring. Even at their levels. If they continue...with the right teaching, they will improve. The fighter in black (the W.C fighter) would always return or at least try to return to the fundimentals that he knew. To me that's the signs of a good fighter in the making. He maintained faith and belief in the style and system in which he was fighting.....What a way to start.....Cooke

  • @larrycancooke2 thanks for the kind words sir. all the best to you and yours.

  • @larrycancooke2

Wing Chun, just like any other martial art, encompasses only one aspect of fighting. Techniques are linear in nature and the system is simple. If a Wing Chun fighter is caught in a situation in which they can't use their usual arsenal, it is only natural that they should step out of their Wing Chun mindset to defend or attack as necessary and move back into their comfort zone when they're able. In other words, I wouldn't fault a student for dropping his technique if he had to.

  • @IMBW89

True...I've done it many times...but I believe he is on the right path with the right frame of mind...Peace be upon them both

  • I see very little WC in this fight. What is the lineage here?

  • I might have been a bit too direct, i believe in positive critisism and didnt mean to offend any Sifu teaching the good ways of the WC branches. Well here goes: Centerline, keep working on it, there is no need to move unless your not on the outside of your opponent (to disable as many tools as possible). Keep teaching him but please teach him more about his centerline before putting him in the ring.

  • Where was his centerline sidesteps? Where were the traps and kicks of wing chun? The guy in white began trying to fight the guy in blacks fight. Trying to use more handstrikes but he's claiming Tae kwon do and kickboxing. He should have used his legs A LOT more to keep distance. They both have a long way to go in thier training.

  • I think in a ring fight, Wing Chun by itself is a little limited, as it's effectiveness lies in it's ability to end a street situation in close quarters quickly. In a ring fight, stamina can become an issue as the opponent has all kinds of room. Combine padded gloves with the opponent's ability to move backward away from chain punches limits damage dealing capabilities. I really like Bruce Lee's application of Wing Chun in Jeet Kune Do. I love his fighting method book.

  • @supergnc i agree with you, WC is not for the ring, its designed to kill, gouge eyes out and kicks to the groin and throat grabs. I dont like bruce lees applications tho, its too flashy and does not follow certain principles WC is build on.

  • be you trash the entire video and everybody in it, i was wondering if anybody first thought these guys just might be beginners. i dont anybody who started out with perfect punching, or kicking. maybe they are competeing to see how much they have accomplished and how much more they have to achieve. sorry but i am just using common sense before i bash the hell out of someone

  • @remshot1998 thanks for the kind words sir.. all the best to you and yours.. and yes Ishaq was a begginer..this was his very first fight (inside or outside of the ring) and the other guy with the white pants has had over 25 fights in the ring

  • the black guy has either a very bad teacher or is a very bad student ;)

trying to implement flashy movements and lots of motion with a halfassed centerline. no sorry :)

  • @Euwnt thanks for your input.. but I am very proud of all of my students and their progress.. but thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment on my video. all the best to you and yours Rahsun.

  • @sifurahsun in fact, every one has not same ability to learn, so dont take bad comments too serious, this is almost 3 years ago, if he still train wing chun he is much better, but if i can give you one advice, work on accuracy of technic and on rule ( that my sifu told me ) : never quit, if way forward is clear attack, never stop, never take step back, always forward before you let him fight in match.your students can earn bad habbits by this. but good work anyway. respect sifurahsun

  • @Euwnt Those "flashy" moves won the fight.

  • 2:01 wow, nice ground fighting skills here, the guy in white surprised me

  • He just trying to apply wingchun in tournament, there is nothing wrong within

  • apparently black people cant wing chun worth dick.

  • Whats with the stance not square on, not meeting the attack, his guard keeps droping... once the boxer or kick boxer kicks, jump in with chain punchs. god damnit use ur damn tan or pac or use fa ging... also small steps no bui ma steps... too slow if not gen in the face then follow up with chain. if he trys to hook step back and follow up with chain punchs and use ur elbow strength!

  • I see some attempt at centre line and some hand technique but no stance. Against the TKD typical hand drop he should have been able to dominate with WC

  • Wing chun like yip man did!!

  • That isn't wing chun. His stance is wrong and so is his punching. In wing chun you don't punch from the shoulders or fist. You punch from the elbow. I know it's a hard concept. But yeah.

  • @joaquinbellis You don't have to be a master to know t's wrong. You need only study the style to realize that it's really not very good Wing Chun if it can even be called Wing Chun

  • this is terrible there not doing wing shun or karate their just boxing

  • @zoltarkaken wtf what the hell do u consider wing chun since every attack is gonna move fluidly like some kung fu movie i think this guy did pretty good

  • @blackeroni whing chun is force the enemies power againist them there not doing that

  • @zoltarkaken I think they're just applying Wing Chun theories and calling the style Wing Chun. I guess there's a technical distinction between Wing Chun and MMA Wing Chun

  • he can't wing chun

  • Ambos son muy malos, seguro que son novatos los dos, así que se les perdona la falta de experiencia, pero el de Wing Chun le falta mucho, postura, velocidad, potencia; también instrucción en combate, no sabe que hacer en ciertos momentos.

  • I totally agree with the refs joice of winner. The kickboxers hits actually ment something while the wing chun guy just threw some farts into the air.

  • Learn to use a camara?

  • Like how the kick boxer didn't even land a solid kick and still won. Maybe if it was full contact, all those little hits might have changed the outcome for the shorts.

  • I like part 2:07

  • if thats wing chun al the girls in the hood use that style .dude in the shorts got whipped

  • looks like a fight at the DPS!

  • Wing Chun dude should have won...

  • Dudes pretty damn good at wing chun.. I love it!

  • I say the box won because of superior foot work, wt just kept breaking his structure whenever the melee started. A shame really, otherwise he did pretty ok

  • @WingTsunPanda Ugh, I guess you're right about it. I'm really satisfied about your explanation, my apologies.

  • @WingTsunPanda I'm 100% sure that wing chun is based on punch technique.

  • come one just one hook and its over!

  • @WingTsunPanda - I understand what you mean but do you know of any videos (not demos) which so this principle in action?

  • @WingTsunPanda - I think the Wing Chun guy would have an advantage in a smaller ring.. the kickboxer guy would be less able to use ring craft to back off, evade and strike at distance

  • If you listen to the begging the anouncer says he's style is taekwondo and boxing so the title of the vid is wroung and he is sparring a tradionalist in wing chun.

  • wing chun is gay trust me with this low guard i cant catch a simple fast head kick..

  • fine at least not so much bullshit craptalk about Wing Chun on this video. Man I love MMA too, but sometimes their fans talk so disrespectful about other martial arts that it is a shame.

  • He must put pressure on the karateka and fight at mid close range

  • kids cant fight for shit

  • im a binweevil

  • sport fighting isn't the same as street fighting, but doing one would definitely help the other--on a technique level and application level, and without a doubt on a mental level. if you're more experienced, you'll be more calm in fighting situations. calmness means less tense, less tension means more relaxed, more relaxed means faster striking and countering and better timing (not as jittery from nerves). Hey, nice job with the training here and the video.

  • my teacher has said, "if he doesn't try to hit you, then you can walk away". some styles really are more for self-defense. If I reach a certain level in my training, I might jump in an amateur bout just to see what I can do without hurting the guy too badly--and hopefully I could manage to not get hurt too badly, haha

  • another thought: we should remember that in competitive sports, the goal is to inflict the most damage upon your opponent before he does to you. this more aggressive mindset sometimes seems to compromise more reactionary styles like Wing Chun and the like. When we see WC guys chasing someone around the ring to score a punch or something. It's not "wrong" but it does compromise it on some level. however, you have to train as realistically as possible if you want to have any luck on the street.

  • dont know why you would wear gloves for wing chun, would be harder to grab and chops wouldnt be must effective.. good one tho keep it upp

    peace

  • both of them are lowbobs, i am 16 years old and i am on the second dan in taekwondo

but what the fuck is this shit of pushing?

you must be faster and more kicks

  • hahahahaaaa

  • 2 important things. No rules to fighting. Common sense.

  • lol you retards don't get it....wing chun is all about RESPECT....not who kicks who's ass chinese kung fu isn't just about combat but the mental health of the body as well

  • If you put foot in the middle of the legs its hard for enemy to do footwork and thats where you take your enemy off balance..

  • a foot between the legs helps :P

  • Watch IP Man movie 2008, awesome Wing Chun movie based on Ip Chun.

  • this is really... WEIRD Wing Chun .. :l

  • they guy holding the camera is a tard.

and srry but this is no wing chun, just a few moves of it. the guy is constantly out of ballance and attacks way to much

  • wing chun has oficiale been declared the best style in the world.

Now maybe it doesn't look so interesting or looks stupid. But its a perfect and fast simple and heavy punches absolutely no motion wasted(and it's hard and takes time to learn properly) THE INTERESTING PART IS THAT YOU CAN MIX IT A LITTLE WITH OTHER MOVES AS YOU DESIRE.

and the guy with the wing chun from the video is more like a beginner. because a wing chun fighter will kik a boxer ass easy.:)

  • those precision punching didn't look that powerful but really took a toll on his opponent and won him the match, i gotta try that next time i fight

  • The white guy only has karate/Taekwondo. He has zero kickboxing skills.

    reasons:

    - he throws haymakers instead of short powerful straight and hooks.

    - he doesn't use uppercuts

    - he sticks his chin out, no sane (kick)boxer would do that

    - he keeps his defense low, even when they're in clinching range, no sane (kick)boxer would do that (unless they know how to slip a punch of course).

So the title is wrong, and the white karate guy is an amateur.

  • @slashd yea, i agree with what you say mate, but this is a match not a Grading, and the fight went his way. Anyway it looked to me like the black guy needed to work on his footwork quite a bit.

  • what was with that stance i didn't see any grounding from that black guy

  • great stuff

  • who was the wing chun fighter? the guy in he white pants or black trunks? what are ? the principles of the system? gy in the white was straight up boxin'. homey in the black sort of maintained a stance but there was nothing on his shots.

  • nice fight

  • Just a suggestion to the wing chun guy. Maybe just bring the guard in a little so not to give the opponent a lever and to work on time and ranging. Also work on your structure and force generation from the form. chu shong tin and wong shung lueng are 2 people I have gotten alot from but its down to the individual :-) Whatever works for you...

  • The great thing about wing chun is that it forces you to fight their style. Unless you do BJJ... but otherwise you pretty much have to fight close quarters.

  • @buddy2000529 - Wing Chunner's want to fight like brawlers, overwhelm their opponents. Nothing wrong with this but you open yourself up to counters. Here any time Ishaq tried to brawl the Karate kid forced Ishaq to chase him. As a result Ishaq got tagged. We can pick apart their fighting techniques but it wasn't Ishaq forcing his game on the Karate Kid. It was the other way around.

  • @iApna If you can make them fight your game though. :)

  • it is dont look like real wing chun, this guy moves too much, and we all now that non wing chun master move so much!!!

  • Camera man sucks!

  • bravely fought

  • This is cool. you got WC guys and other martial artist working it out. You have to get out and fight/spar if you expect to learn how to apply and master the techniques. Theory is great, but only practice and experience will take you to the next level. Haters don't know what it takes--that's why they don't have respect. don't even sweat 'em.

  • @vombie

Yeah I think too many people judge the effectivness of styles based on what they see in controlled demonstrations. All styles look cool in demonstrations but look different in real fights. This is why I think the UFC was a good thing. It's made training more realistic.

  • @CrowdPleeza yeah, UFC (especially in the early days) really opened everyone's eyes as to how to approach fight conditioning--I think style isn't really the issue, though some styles generally have an easier time in a sport setting than others. And that's not to say that they would suffer in a street setting either--probably the opposite. but I think everyone would benefit from a new "in the field" approach to their training like this.

  • That is SOoooo.....not wing chun......

  • @MrChubbyDudez

Have you seen other WC fighters spar against other fiighters? If so what did their fighting look like compared to this?

  • sifu rahsun this is not wing chun that you teach

  • dont see any wing tsun..

  • did the wing chun guy learn all three of the wing chun form or is this still siu lim tao?

  • i started wing chun not very long ago it is awsome

  • did a woman film this

  • lose me abit

  • Your Wing Shun was a Failure your stands was wrong and your so was the movement

  • Im sorry i also have to say this rather is like boxing with jik chun chuie...

  • hahaha i enjoyed this vid, i do TKD my self, world class tkd and its awesome and im pretty sure not alot of people could beat me by kicking, but im starting wing chun cause, 1. i love all martial arts, 2. ip man 1,2,3,4 made me like it even more and i need close combat training, WING CHUN RULES

  • what a shit fight you do not no how to use wing chun well !

  • WC is the ancient form of bitch slapping. lol worthy

  • I have to say........ the WC dude rushes too much and loses his stance. He shouldn't lunge forward too much......

  • pretty good for his first time. He manage to make most of the match a fist fight which is what is best for wing chun I think and he keeps pressing forward which i think is brilliant, because I see most wing chun beginngers dont press forward and they eat alot of kicks. I just think he needs to ultilise more bon sou (which in my personal experience I find very effective) and some more wing chun kicks in punching range

  • FAILED

  • Iv trained in WC for a few years, I agree we should support one another. I though the wing chun fighter did a good job for his first fight. there are a few things i noticed which may help,1. the lack of chain punch being use (or i just didnt see it) which may of turned the tide on this kick boxer 2. to much walking around in circles-advance straight dont waste time walking around -make the other fella do all the walking and take the fight to him. but otherwize a good start.

  • im a kickboxer. and if there is one thing i love its wing chung, the hand speed play well into timing. very good fight keep up the videos!

  • i'm new to wing chun. i like it and should i keep praticing? i mean to be a good fighter

  • @jiersk yes! and welcome to the wing chun family :))

  • @sifurahsun oke thanks :)

  • @sifurahsun hey...i learn wing chun as well ^^ but...honestly....im a self trainer...fucking out right? :(

i dont find any other on my country teach wing chun...so i watch all youtube tutorials..and all...and i started practicing...but you know? it WORKS :D

  • @jiersk dude i say yes. its always good to know martial arts. keep it up man!

  • @jiersk i am trening 4 years wing chun and is awesome, dont stop it,you will see that is very good style

  • @jiersk Just remember that you will not be able to use your full potencial of wing chun in any ring legaly, that is why you never will see a true wing chun guy in mma or other sport, because it is not a sport...

  • @WolfH3 LOOOOOOL...damn fuck! That is really ridicolous. Shit, there ARE no rules in UFC, etc. If you grab groins, the opponent can do too. There are NO mystic secrte kicks, grabs etc in WC. THAT is pathetic CRAP. Same as esoteric nonsense. And its no sport? yea indeed. Its obviously some sort of brain fucking indoctrination. And shit , YES, I KNOW what i am talking bout. Was in one of the 1st WC-schools here about 22 yrs ago.

  • @jiersk this is NOT real wing chun.........

  • @jiersk

Watch Ip Man (the movie) and you'll get all the motivation you need.

  • @jiersk No quit wing chun its useless only wing chun users think so because they have wasted there lives learning it. Learn muay thai, jiu jitsu, boxing, judo something useful lol

  • @jiersk Not only welcome to the Wing Chun family, welcome to the world of martial rts in general.

  • @jiersk always, Wing chun is efficient...but mix it with kali-escrima, muay thai, bjj and judo...and you will be a lean, mean, killing machine....good luck....and welcome Warrior!!!!

  • @Volgeblanc Ok, sometimes my sifu learns us MMA too, thats good too right?

  • @jiersk Yeap, if you focus on cage fighting, MMA, etc. it´s OK. But, if you focus on streetwise survival and fighting, grappling is limited (i.g. when fighting several attackers armed or unarmed). There´s little space for submissions in real life. Personally, I was attacked by a gang, and all you do is natural. No fancy moves, no flashy kicks, no macho-like poses or complicated grappling techniques. Simple, effective, no-nonsense, self-defense! It´s a jungle out there!

  • @Volgeblanc how did that fight end?

  • @jiersk These guys were attacking my family.Luckily I took them down.I´m grateful to my MA training. I was touching my body looking for cuts or bullit holes, since my body was covered with blood. It was theirs. But, you just react in a split second. No pre-planned fight or competition rules. Expect the worse, prepare diligently for that, and you will survive.

  • @Volgeblanc - Why do Wing Chun guys think MMA is limited to grappling? Its not! First try to understand what MMA is.

  • @iApna Sorry to be part of your simple generalization. I respect and practice MMA (by its rules). I never said that MMA is limited to grappling. I said grappling is limited, in a real street fight, against multiple attackers with weapons (any). As a contact sport, MMA is just that a: mix. I don´t see many Muay Thai, BJJ, Judo, Sambo,TKD, Karate, or Greco-Roman wrestling practicioners ready to abandon their styles and blindly embrace MMA. It´s a great sport, don´t get me wrong.

  • @Volgeblanc - I practice both Muay-Thai and MMA. Both we practice with rules for competition and not rules. In Muay-Thai there are many rules, but 2 weeks ago we were trained to dislocate shoulders and opponents jaw. In MMA we are trained to to choke out the opponent. Great, but then we also learned how to break our opponents neck.

MMA is great for multiple attackers because it includes striking from boxing/Muay-Thai in most cases.

    Example: /watch?v=ULRglCQLmDs

    You noobs make me laugh.

  • @iApna The misconception people have is that every single street fight involves ferocious attacks like ripping out eyes and throat. Thats totally not true. Most street fights simply are fists and feet, some grappling.

A person who takes self defence classes 4 nights a week v a pro fighter who fights for living, 90% chance the pro fighter will win. It doesnt matter that the self defence person learns eye gouges, he simply will not be hardened enough to withstand the pro fighters strikes.,

  • @iApna

I just got a great book called UNARMED COMBAT by martin j dougherty whos a former SAS soldier. sas is like the uk version of navy seals. Real hardcore soldiers.

In this book, he listed the martial arts he deemed as best for self defence. Kickboxing, muay thai, bjj, jujitsu, judo and boxing. People can get this book if they want. Real good book too :)

  • @iApna Glad to hear that you went from rules to non-rules approach to fighting. That makes it more realistic. I also like your sense of humor, I´ve never been called a "noob". Maybe is part of your psychological insecurities, calling people names and prejudging. I won´t go into many details. I´ve been training in Muay Thai in the Lana Tradition for 20 years and in BJJ with the late Master Carlson Gracie (I earned my Black belt), I´ve been a Hand-to.Hand and Small Weapons Combat Instructor.

  • @iApna in the special forces of my country for more than 25 years. Please understand , I won´t call you names like "noob" or "troll". Simply put, it´s not in my nature. I prefer to respect your skills, as far as reality is concerned and exchange with you real experiences. Wish you good luck with your training.

  • @Volgeblanc - So you don't think its insulting that you blatantly telling the public Grappling is limited in a real street. Grappling can be used against multiple attackers including attackers with weapons. Depends on how you use it. MMA can include weapons training if you like as well. MMA is adaptable to any circumstance. But obviously you did not do you research and decided to tell us your uneducated opinion. What type of reaction were you hoping for?

Here is a video of the US Army:

  • @iApna No, I don´t think so. I you feel offended, I sincerely apologize. I sense in your words anger, hate and fear. Have you seen your shrink lately? Take care. Worst enemy is within!

  • @Volgeblanc - Well I stand-by my thoughts and you're a noob. If you feel insulted because I called you a Noob you're the one that needs a bit of help. Calling you a noob is an accurate description of your display of MMA and grappling knowledge. Re-read our thread and you will see how you reacted to my words of calling you a Noob.

Good luck to you. You're gonna need it!

  • @iApna I stand by my thoughts as well: Your psychopathic behavior is evident. You´re delusional and paranoid. The only place were you obtain some form of gratification is on expressing your hate through the keyboard. Probably you were abused as a child, molested and your fixation towards your so-called-knowledge, it´s a hidden manner of anal repression, that exemplifies your need to get attention. If you´re not happy let it out. Come out of the closet. Be all you can be : a functional psycho!

  • @Volgeblanc - Thank-you for helping me make my point loud and clear. Listen to yourself. If anyone needs a bit of help here it's you. You escalated your tone from zero to mad man in a few posts. Btw.. Thank-you for your self-reflection. If this is your only way of communicating your childhood sexual abuse then good on you for taking the first step. But don't get your panties in a bunch Noob!!

  • @iApna volgeblanc is right. your'e clearly a nut.

  • @jiersk

just remember don't limit yourself to 1 style

  • @jiersk Welcome Wing Chun Brother/Sister.

  • didn't look like wing chun to me
