Awesome video, Jerry! I often into the FICS on my droid while on lunch break, just to watch games and think about possible positions and trying to guess the next moves. I just love it when a player surprises me with a brilliant move I didn't see, or even when I can see better moves than what were actually played.
Your commentary here works really well and is a great insight into how a powerhouse chess player thinks on the fly. Keep up the good work!
Great video, and a great idea to comment other games. Then you have the added bonus of great commentary on blitz game without sacrificing your play (due to thinking and playing). This even leads into the possibility of a triple commentary game (two youtubers playing, one kibitzing), or bughouse could yield quintuple commentary, haha.
3 minutes is a ridiculously small amount of time to play a good game - you barely have time to get your pieces developed but not enough time for any tactics and even if you are winning, time pressure wont let you put your advantage to any kind of use.
Are modern players nowadays always in the position to read their opponents intentions? Of all the players was Tal the most impossible to read/predict?
Thanks for the video Jerry. It's a cool idea to sort of seing two people putting their thoughts onto the board while listening to a third opinion. However i still prefer proper analysis where you can touch on different variations which i highly appreciate ;)
i thought these games were exciting and this is a good idea, but the commentary gets drowned out a little because, as a spectator, I was focusing more intensely on the game( because of the speed ), and because the outcomes of the game seemed to be unpredictable, even to jerry!
This was interesting but I prefer your analysis of your own games or tournament games you have chosen. However it's always nice to find new content from you, I really appreciate the work your work. Thanks.
great to see another video. I agree with elbay2 in that a longer game would be more instructional. Especially if the game was yours so we could hear your plans. Bullet is great to watch even when it is completely unsound, but in a blitz you have time to pick apart weaknesses and develop a positional plan.
I like these. If I could make a suggestion though, it would be to follow a slower game. That way, your thought process is not so "rushed".
It's the same thing with KingsCrusher: I get a lot out of his 5-minute games, but I rarely watch his bullet chess because there's just NO time to analyze in depth; it's mostly intuition.
Why wasn't the rook on F2 captured?

why can't king take ruck at 2.04?
H00FH3ARTED 5 months ago
@H00FH3ARTED Bb6+ wins the rook back. But with opposite bishops left it is an easy draw i think. So white probably could go for that.

I enjoyed this a lot. But I think it'd be better to provide commentaries on 5-min blitzes instead. The pace is rather too fast here.

@MrGatherfield I always consider my opponents intentions before I make my move, and after they move.

@moviecritic6 Especially after they make a move, you can verify if you got it or not. You're right.

I like the fast time controls. I really suck at it so it is interesting to listen to your thoughts on the practical moves when you're behind.

Good idea, but in my opinion everything was a little bit too fast. Maybe 5m games should be better.

Hi Jerry. This is a very good idea. It would be better to watch longer games. Those games were really fast.

yeah, Jerry, I love the idea of doing this, but maybe a 5 0 game or something closer to that would make for an even better video
