A good strategy to beat buakaw would be to get into mid-range, set up a quick hand combo then push away before he could clinch. That would nullify his kicks and hard tools. But getting in...that's the hard part.

The problem for Zambidis is that he fought Buakaw's fight. He wasnt busy enough on the inside and had an off day, simple as that. Buakaw fought a great tactic, every time Mike came inside he'd grapple him to nulify his arms. Much like a tall boxer against a shorter one who keeps distance to use his jab and will hold on the inside. It was Buakaw's day is all. To say that he is better because of 1 fight is stupid.

I think that Buakaw is the best in the world but it 's obvious he uses the tactics of throwing him away in order to avoid close distance fight. He uses a lot this tactic with good punchers. That is smart but the punching level falls.

I'm a buakaw fan but I gotta disagree with u people on this one. Pramuk did not risk at all. I felt like he was dancing instead of fighting. He went for the easy win and did not fight aggresivly. His scared of Zampidis cause he knows that if Mike gets the chance, he knocks him out with one of his amazing punches! His tactic is cowardly and unworthy of his talent as far as this match is concerned... I was expecting a good fight. I'm curious what would happen if this fight lasted 10 rounds...

well, what strategy could have mike used? he has a shorter reach and he would get owned in a kicking match against buakaw; so he tried to win with punches. there wasn't much else that he could do.

A good strategy to beat buakaw would be to get into mid-range, set up a quick hand combo then push away before he could clinch. That would nullify his kicks and hard tools. But getting in...that's the hard part.

The problem for Zambidis is that he fought Buakaw's fight. He wasnt busy enough on the inside and had an off day, simple as that. Buakaw fought a great tactic, every time Mike came inside he'd grapple him to nulify his arms. Much like a tall boxer against a shorter one who keeps distance to use his jab and will hold on the inside. It was Buakaw's day is all. To say that he is better because of 1 fight is stupid.

A rematch would be nice. What you have said was true. I got nothing against that but keep in mind that Zambidis has destroyed many opponents who are taller than him. Buakaw is taller and stronger.Zambidis was thrown to the floor a couple of times. The video says it all.Yet again,both are great.I doubt that the result would be different the next time they see each other.
