@NonSyntheticTeen try disk mode, after the ipod resets, hold the center and play button, then plug redo the hold center button, and it should be alright.

@TheAssassin111 Same here. it started working when I held the Menus and select button while putting the hold slider back and forth. Why I decided to do it that way? No idea, all I need to know is that it worked for me. I held the 2 buttons for 10 mins before deciding to do this, haha.

@VFCfuturelove1 Hahahah! I plugged my ipod into my laptop and logged on to itunes. A few minutes later this box thingy pops up saying do u want to repair ur ipod or something and then when that happens press yes. Ur screen will look like an mp3 screen or not normal like ur old ipod screen when that happens. Click center and the up button together. For a few secounds it should work. Hope this helped. Reply me back on what happens :)
