The key words of course are, "last resort". Try to avoid conflict situations, don't let your ego get the better of you. Stay aware of situations so you can be alert to danger and then avoid it or diffuse it. Fighting is dangerous and no matter how well you are trained, your opponent(s) can get lucky.
