I don't think the Judge should have focused on the boy-girl aspect and focused more on leaving two teenagers unsupervised, regardless of gender. Two girls or two boys could just as easily get in trouble, including sex, but also drinking, drugs, risk-taking behavior, etc.

Basically, once you become a parent, the going out stops. Especially if you are a single parent, as is the case here. I understand that mothers do need some out time with their girlfriends, but if you don't have a responsible ADULT to watch your children, you just simply can't go. Most 13 year olds are not responsible enough to babysit a child that young. Also, the P coming home late and going to sleep leaving two teens of the opposite sex to just parlay? I've lived in Europe and I can tell you the teens there are much crazier they are just better educated on using protection.
