eve online = fail if you havent played it on launch. i say that because EVE online auto lvls your skills when your offline. Meaning that anyone who started playing this game is alerdy well passt anything you can ever do now. meaning that takes the fun out of an mmo.
@TylerGRRR not really....surprisingly you catch up very fast....i mean it will only take about a few months...cause most people dont fly those super expensive ships they fly regular old common ships...and its not really 1v1 pvp type its more group focused so u will fit in somewhere in groups
sorry for some long comments thats not related on ur vid anyways the game is good i spend my whole vacation playin it 24/7 straight there a lots of other player tht would help you in game i would i still have usefull contacts in game who can help you if u want well for me i say bye bye to EVE
for few days then i got bored so i called the operator and ask about the connectivity prob they said my computer had a prob regarding with the lan card so i went to my brother and ask him fix pc so he reformat my pc until i lately discovered that all of my passwords and username is written on pc notepad i forgot to memorize my account PS AND username he reformat my pc along with my accounts im such a stupid DAMN
i was a successful player in eve building my own personal need including ships, ammo, turrets, and some modules until i had a problem with my internet connection so i stop for few days hoping that it will fix it self i was wondering that my internet DSL operator had the problem not my computer so like i said i stop
Yahtzee will most likely NOT review EVE online again, due to his pure hatred of the two game genres that he simply doesn't know how to play: MMO's and RTS's... EVE combines those two aspects, despite the new streamlines beginner skill system, it still a game that he will "boringly" hate...
The BEST way to put EVE Online on your Mac is by joining Steam, and running the application thru it. Steam also allows you to play other games as well thru this client thanks to the Valve software installed..
Eve online is the best game I have ever played. If you are the type of person who likes and intelligent game where effort is rewarded then play it. I used to play it since the beta (2003) and stopped after 4/5 years problem with it is it takes over your life. The pvp is phenominal. And the size of eve shocking. I was a CEO of a corp and a fleet commander in 7 alliances.
The main problem with eve is the slow introduction of new things promissed since beta. Got bored with waiting.
It's not an easy game to get into. If you're looking for quick progression and a lot of signposts telling you what to do next, this is not your thing. Eve offers plenty of opportunity and choice, if you have the determination to pursue goals.
What makes Eve different? Well, try this on for size: I'm part of a mercenary corp. Players from other corps pay the corp I'm in to fight still other players.
@bakeasakite A quick list of things you can do: mine, produce goods, buy goods, sell goods, move goods around, research, explore wormholes, fight NPCs, fight as a PvP mercenary, join a player alliance (and do any of those professions above as part of that alliance), form your own corp (guild, for you non-EVE-ers), flame on the forums, help people on the forums, laugh at people on the forums, solo PvP (is not dead!), pirate, anti-pirate, spy, be a corp director...
Just once I would like someone to give a decent reason to play Eve. Not the generic "You can do anything! Own the universe or become a pirate!"
Seriously, there is nothing fun AND constructive to do in this game. You either become a pirate, and that's useless as corps will just rail you hard so you end up killing poor bastard trial players. Or you become a corporate slave(such as being a miner).
The pvp/pve is terrible, H/O LEMME TARGET PRESS MAH LAZHERZ AND EAT DINNER.
@Bajamug mind if i try then? i dont pirate and i own my own corp. (for the convenience of the slots at the stations) i also have an alt account that does mining and specializes in salavaging, production and sales. Eve has a great variety and i prefer to solo so far ( can solo most level 4 missions). and just enjoy the thrill of massive battles and the "oh shit i almost lost my ship". so the most constructive thing to tell is what i just wrote and that 6 years late, i am still learning:) its alot
Been playing EvE for a while now. I love this game and it really gets better the longer you play it. I play EvE on a mac and although it runs pretty ok, it still feels like the conversion CCP has done from PC to MAC isn't flawless. The computer itself hasn't blown up yet but there is alot of bugs and irritating small flaws in the mac version. EvE should be played on a PC in my opinion. If the only thing I did om my laptop was eve, id buy a PC. You CAN play eve on a mac, but not as well as on PC
@magsmagsmags you know you can always install windows onto a mac computer. The Mac Operating system isn't a "mac", the computer is a mac. Or you can install both the mac OS and windows OS, and just run games on Windows.
I played Eve Online's trial year back. It didn't really draw me in at that point, but the length of the trial doesn't really let you do anything else, but to scratch the surface.
I am thinking about giving it another shot, but might wait for SWTOR to come out first.
Trent said it, I've been playing EVE since 2006 and i love the game. Im a big time Sci/Fi reader and movie watcher so that probably explains my attraction to EVE over something like Conan or WoW. As for your concerns for your MAC it should be fine as long as it meets whatever requirements EVE has. . . no smoke no steam :) hope you have a blast :)
thankfully, they gave a lot of support to the eve online mac version. you don't have to even spend any money to download and run and play it! they have a free 2 week trial on their site.
so just download eve, and make a free account for 2 free weeks.

A video game can't kill your computer lol, use google for information.

@TraNWhiZ They can... Age of Conan did when I tried running it on a 6 year old comp, I had to reinstall my OS at least.
