@Cheripie1 I have to counteract and say the Dim The Light Dance on the 18th at Bar 512 for something a little different and not having to hear all the same old tunes all over again!
@angelsbumpa I have to counteract and say the Dim The Light Dance on the 18th at Bar 512 for something a little different and not having to hear all the same old tunes all over again!
@mandemblock I used to go record shop in Walthmstow, I haven't heard of anyone from my ends who has been there. I remeber a sound with Carl and his big brother dirty dezzy. lol.
see this guy in a truly legendary line up at the o2 recently and he was just as awesome now as he was then....could do with a dutty rub against the wall on hearing this !!! lol
This brings back memories of decent raving back in the day. Yeah, we may have only been 16 and yeah we used to sneak out but we dressed respectably in our finest, treated people's properties with respect, there was no stabbing and fighting, man used to pull you for a dance, man used to smell good, decent curry goat and rice free flowing and if you were one of those that stayed to the end, you could guarantee a fry dumpling brekfast (yes, brekfast not breakfast). Those were the days, indeed.
Ah Friday nights. Pool in the pub till closing time. Jump in the cortina (1600e) blast out to Hill top in kent. Crub Girl/s till one am. Blast back into london Via the Kebab shop in Peckham. Then cross the river to All Nations in Hackney - more crubbing till Dawn. Collecting warm bread and a pint off the milkman for breakfast. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
@MrYes2day ahhh memories! Dunno about the kebab shop in peckham but the rest sounds very familiar except I was the girl getting the crubbing. You felt sweet in your cortina don't lol
@MrYes2day - I still have the jacket with the flowered wall paper printed on the back of it such was the rub - the good days/nights when woman knew how to keep you to attention.
Just love to keep you in my moind....(not a typo)....Browning u are crazy girl. Steve Spacek says mind just like Junior, possibly one of his influences.
Haven't heard this one for a while. 'Never Win Never Lose' was (still is!) one of my favourite lovers albums. Mr Junior English - what a wonderful voice.
dis was a PROPPA CHOON!! if you did not get a dance to this you just had to crub wid da fresh air, you could never stand still to this tune whether your crubbin or not!!!
Excellent tune - Junior English sings it good today as he did back then when it came out on vinyl. I saw him live I had to hold to my other half for a dance could not just stand and watch the performance. I had to move to the beat. felt the vibes. Wicked tune! Thanks for the precious memories from your sound box lol.
Ahhhh, reggae the way it used to be!! From a London man now living in California who used to visit Four Aces, All Nations, Bali Hai and the rest of the reggae clubs in London waaay back in the day......thanks!
i remeber going to a manhatton and gemi magic dance 1 bank holiday 10 years ago pc mistri was playing as well 11 oclock in the morning it was one of those straight true to east enders dance meaning until the afternoon but loooord when this chune lick worries in the place house, was jam people ah sweat, wall papper rub of running tings

The women I MEET still do know how to keep I&I to "attention". However you could've
DRY-CLEANED that jkt by now considering you're STIILL "wearing" it after ALL these
YEARS!!!

@nuhpoch I didnt wanna laugh, but too funny lol
browningbbw 3 months ago
@browningbbw
WHY didn't you wanna LAUGH? Don't you have a sense of humour or
could you have been the young lady my friend dutty-rubbed and caused
him NOT to dry-clean the jacket in rememberance of the event!
Whatever the circumstance he's HAPPY and proud to still wear it out to
functions and events same way. Call it sentimental "value"?

@nuhpoch Could quite possibly have been - I've been known to have that effect! You're too wrong! lol
