i first heard the word gay in 1977 so i guess it still meant happy in 1966. i love 60s music like this and hate 60s soul which is all you ever hear on retro radio.
satellite radio needs a station that play 60s rock and NO motown.
Wonderful song. Also a good example of the perils of doing a song in a foreign language. That said, the Dutch were darn good at doing songs in English. I'll always consider Shocking Blue one of the best bands ever.
