I remember wishing the art was better quality and more closely resembled the actual kits from the toy line. I was big into the toys and the original box art from the sets was amazing for toy box art, even by today's standards.
This was a very underrated cartoon, didn't get much love. Probably because it wasn't part of the weeday or Sat. morning line-ups like the others of that time...here in NYC it came on Sunday mornings...not a preferable time slot I think. But I did catch it, I liked it.
1:58 80s cartoon writing gets owned by 80s cartoon writers. It must have been such a pain to constantly have characters describe what they were doing as they did it.
Excellent point Don!! Today's cartoons (save afew) are really sad and dumbed down, doofy, and quite emo aswell...and today's kids are gettin this stuff shoved in their heads everytime they watch them.
I am not saying they weren't entertaining. I just don't think that, on average, 80s cartoons were that that much better than 90s cartoons or even contemporary cartoons. I would even argue that they got better - better writing, smoother animation, more complex plots.
So, like I said, I don't begrudge you for enjoying the 80s cartoons. I just take issue with people insisting that they are superior while ignoring their flaws.
Oh, don't get me wrong, though entertaining, many 80's cartoons did have their faults for sure, along with 90's and present cartoons. Today's cartoons (most) do have a rather smoother animation style to them too, advencement in animation I guess. But, 80's cartoons just are "known" to me since I grew up in that era.
DAMN! they`v changed Bront`s voice!

Well atleast it was better than making all characters total emos and have them descrbe said emotions for next 15 minutes in todays cartoons.

Everything you said can be applied to 80s cartoons. More so, in fact, given how bloody moralizing they were.

Mmmm....somewhat. I found 80's cartoons (most of'em) more stimulating with the excess action in many of'em, oh well, entertaining nonetheless.

That's a problem with just about all anime-- which is why the best ones are the ones that take a lot of liberties with the dialogue, like Shin-Chan.

tyranxx Had major ADD issues, lol. The good old days, when heroes got the job done. When cartoons made sense.

Wonder how much Steggor could still do without those shield-wheel things of his.
