He remained less than 5 feet tall into adulthood and continued to gain weight up to somewhere around 300 lbs due to a medical condition. He sought treatment at Johns Hopkins Hospital and his weight fell to 110 lbs, however he had an enlarged heart and he died following an operation in 1936. He was only 21.
