the old games were good but you had no real way of knowing whether you were buying GOLD or rectal waste...

Although I am a relatively "new" gamer myself (my first console was PS1 but I essentially grew up with PS2) one of my favorite consoles of all time is the NES. However, I have some friends the same age as me who have never played it. So I decided to introduce it with SMB3 to make a good impression. They were like: "WTF is this garbage? Let's play some MW2."
