we do need to raise taxes on the extreme rich. it is a good way to pay for our debt. We cant grow out of debt with no rase in taxes. I pay more in taxes than warren buffet does, and even he thinks we should raise taxes.
This guy is too smart to be a Republican. What is the deal with all the rational and reasonable arguments? :-)
Ron Paul needs to take a page out of this guy's book. Ranting and raving like a dingbat isn't gonna win you a victory. Take it down like a billion notches and speak clearly and rationally and you'll be taken seriously, You've got good ideas Ron, they're just in the wrong man's brain.
@gore21best It depends on your income, but if you were a millionaire in today's numbers then, you would be paying around 90% in income taxes. Politicians do best when pandering to ignorant people on most topics. From what I've seen, most U.S. citizen have no clue millionaires were taxed at 50% to 94% for most of the income tax history until the late 1980s.
@WAKeele thanks for the stats. and i wonder who was president in the 80's Ronald Reagan and GHWB. Ronald reagan is the most overrated president ever, and it has to do with what you said... "Politicians do best when pandering to ignorant people on most topics. "
@gore21best The Tax Foundation (a dot org site) has a good set of charts on taxes under publications. You can google "historical income tax rates" and it comes up in the top 10. I had heard for years that those that made over $250,000 in WWII paid 90-94% and all this talk about how raising taxes on very wealthy people would wreck the economy more got me wanting historical facts. If we live by small business like we did not that long ago, it wouldn't matter if the rich had money or not.
It would be funny if it weren't so predictable. 1. Fuck taxes, who needs 'em? 2. Furiously masterbate over Reagan's already throroughly soiled corpse."
Are all these people fucking retarded? They are clapping too! USA, you are a place full of retards and drones and if you vote for any of these guys, you'll be getting fucked over like you did with Bush. You are all just neglecting the past 8 years of history. Tax relief for the rich while more taxes befall upon the middle and lower classes so the gap between the three and soon to be two becomes larger, in the end only lower and higher class with the lower class losing complete power. Fucktards.
@Razgrits You got it. Considering 25% of our spending/economy is fueled by the top 3%, not to mention their business opportunities, the best bet is to take it away from them what they've earned. And they're all retards. It's so simple, way to go brains.
@utdwcd Fueled? What business opportunities? A low wage work at a factory getting colon cancer in 20 years and almost no money for retirement? And why should I work for them and by their rules? I think having freedom of choice is a human right, if I wanted to work like someone in Kenya, I'd be in Kenya. The sad thing is that people like you vote, and enjoy it. The even sadder part is now that I realized that you see it coming but your brain isn't up to par to weight it's choices and future.
@Razgrits The problem there is not tax policies it's that people in Kenya are willing and able to work to do the same work for 1/4 pay. We're already taking losses employing Americans domestically even under THOSE conditions. The problem is we're not competitive for our top 1% standard of living- the average American doesn't deserve to be in the top 1 percentile of the world. Blame it on the economy, housing, Bush, Obama, the real reason is the rest of the world is catching up.
@Razgrits Does all the foul language make you feel like a big boy? Grow up and learn to articulate yourself without incessant usage of derivatives of "fuck". You sound like a tool.

The wealthiest Americans don't create jobs.
it is the supply and demand that creates jobs, the common American buying and selling.
Those bush tax cuts didn't work, raise taxes for the top 0.3% of america, anybody who makes over 1,000,000 a year.
