@ATC127MHZ I work for someone who teaches that if only one "sheep" is lost, He will go find and save it. I suppose we all see what we're looking for. I agree that there's some NGO's who are corrupt and unworthy of one penny. But that is like saying that because there are corrupt people in your community, all people are corrupt. Look for those who are making a significant difference with people they serve. There are many who do so. Support them. And I agree - prayer should never be coerced.

This person is really either very naive or, more likely, simply drumming up some cash for self-serving ends. India must conquer its own problems and must not be insulted with outside "saviors" for its 1.2 billion.
Going to India or Nepal and getting personally involved is clearly one way to help. But when that is not possible or practical, you can contribute to great organizations such as the one described in this video. They are helping make a significant difference in the lives of these children.
There are some organizations that help those children. You must just look for it! The web sites you can find in internet. You can for example sponsore a child like I do.. He will have education and friends in school.. and in the future he will maybe have some proper work.

Almost every NGO working out here has a NEW 4x4 Toyota and is driven by a well to do man.
At the weekend, this same car is used by the entire family for picnics in the countryside (NO they are not the kids from the orphanages etc).
QUIT playing on heartstrings by using the rare incidents to insinuate it's normal.
WTF is the bit about how they love the worship time?
Forcing religion down someone's throat is disgusting behaviour, and some here won't feed the kids UNLESS THEY PRAY. Bull!!!!

There are many adoption agencies in America who have India programs. You should contact them all. Many Americans wish to adopt children.
