I am in no way hating on Eric because the guy is clearly a monster. But I would get so bored just playing Maynard charts all the time. Are there any vids of him playing charts other than Maynard's? He's a beast and I would kill to see what he'd do with some other stuff.

I like the way he feels the need to do something with one of his hands while playing a high note or phrase such as adjusting his grip or scratching his earlobe. A less-than-subtle "look mom, one hand."

I have yet to seen a trumpet player that can play Maria better and with greater effect than Maynard. Eric can play it well, but it doesn't have the touch.

he's got to be careful not to just wail. dont get me wrong he's awesome, and i know what these trumpet parties are like... lots of showing off. but more melody would be awesome. but his vibrato is hot!!!
