  • If you boil water in the microwave for several minutes all the impurities are removed and it superheats, then bubbles then superheats again and so on.

  • What i learned. Put a lid on my chilli before i microwave. YUUUUCK!

  • You seriously need to clean your microwave. Filth.

  • ...and it wasn't "pure water" either. It was filtered tap water.

  • @Hoopermazing Pure water is filtered water, it depends on how good the filters are which makes the water distilled.

  • @filippo333 I'm talking about tap water filtered through a Brita water filter, not distilled water. Distilled water, as I understand the term, is water that is boiled and then allowed to condense, thus removing its mineral content.

  • @Hoopermazing That too, but some water processing plants do it with filters because its quicker.

  • This happened to me twice (heating water in a french press beaker) before I wised up and bought an electric kettle.

  • looks like fun

  • I cleaned it as good as I could only most marks are scorch marks for microwaving things that burn and bang.

  • clean you're microwave you dirty geeky bastard
