@yo6ial It is not that simple like you think. If you use real filter googles for 532 nm than performer won't see the beams. On the other hand if you only use dark glasses your pupil will be more open and it is even more dangerous if direct beam enter your eye, because there is no filter on glasses, and your pupils are wide open.

@Prolight I don't argue that if he'd use total attenuation goggles he would be unable to see the beams anymore but using partial attenuation filters, even with dilated pupils from the less ambient light and whatever else is in that smoke there, would prevent accidents.

Isn't having a fraction of a second of 2-3 miliwatts of 532nm directly on the retina better than same fraction of a second of dozens of miliwatts?

@yo6ial it is not that simple. Light and lasers are two different things. This is real powerful lasers and you can't put partial attenuation filter and make it safe to look into. The only way to be safe is to be aware of danger and to not look into the beam. Also DJ was on the another side of the table so there is really no chance to look direct into the beam as he has table between him and the beams.

Um... and light and laser denote the same kind of electromagnetic radiation.

lasers differ only in the fact that photons are in sync and most of them have the same wavelenght. The higher energy densities by means of collimation making them more dangerous.

@funnybee2 Not true. This is frameless laser harp and it means that you have no sensors on top. Beams can go up in the air. There is only one sensor on the floor for all the beams.

I was shooting a short movie about ECTA in Croatia and one girl was playing this "instrument" a meter away from. Its not fake, is pure awesomness. She was playing Smells like teen spirit (Nirvana) , also Enter Sandman, and two songs by AC/DC im not fan of them so i couldnt tell ... I think it was Highway or hell or something.
