so i tried your suggestion, but i cant get the yoyo to sit without fuss on my finger! This is because im currently using a dark magic, and im wondering, should I make the concentric grooves with some sandpaper on the plastic part of the yoyo?
or shud i jsut leave it, i would prefer not ruining my yoyo cuz im short on cash rite now and its the only really good yoyo i have rite now...

I have trouble with that too, that's why I don't try to get the thumb in while it's in the air.
I always do a short finger ground, which sets me up perfectly for the thumb.

nvm... i was yoyoing alittle more, and i realised i forgot my glove, and the plastic grinds fine on it :)
