Netflix doesn't even have this dvd! But I still want to see it again...it has been such a long time since I saw it. It's a great film. Reading the book right now, that is good as well.
Does anyone know who wrote the musice for the movie's soundtrack or if you can buy it anywhere?? one of my favorite things about the movie was the music and i'd love to own it...
I love this book! I have to admit the description of the reddleman did make me laugh at first I didn't know how to imagine him being all red like the devil n all but this film has given me a better idea of his appearance.
i agree with u that this book is great , havn't seen the movie but the book is wonderful diggory venn is the only character which is shown as weird and almost supernatural , his character doesn't change all along the novel , he has this unselfish love for thomasin and he tries to smooth her thorny path and make her happy without necissarily marrying her or becoming her love partner . he is like a guardian angel .
Merci beaucoup! ;)***
P.S.: Continue à faire des vidéo-clips! Bon travail! =)
RotN is hard going, very little characterisation in the early chapters, too much landscape depiction. Don't what ever you do let this novel put you off Hardy. Start with The Mayor of Casterbridge or Far from the Madding Crowd, then maybe Tess. Not sure why Hardy is still in the school curriculum, really need to have lived a little to appreciate him. I don't mean that to be patronizing. I did Tess at school, hated it but reading it later in life was as emotionally draining as it was rewarding.
I'm in the middle of listening to Alan Rickmans reading of this book - he was the only reason I got hold of it, but it has piqued my interest in Thomas Hardy now, so that has to be good. Oh yes, Alans reading of this is just wonderful.
Oh, that was good. I like the way you included all the characters. I wish someone would make a RotN video to The Blower's Daughter by Damien Rice about Eustacia and Wildeve.
lovely song .......

What's so difficult about Hardy? Maybe I missed something. He was an architect, so his work is structured and atmospheric.

I have read the book and I think it has been a Wuthering Heights - like story. Thomas Hardy is a good author though!

Is the ending of the movie anything like the book? I just finished the novel, and from the video, it seems that it was fairly close. ^^
