Niles does suck sometimes but its all I know. R.I.P Majerek's, My Condolences to the Majerek Family as this was more than just a "Book Store", This Book Store was and will always be missed, And everyone from Niles, MI lost a large piece of our city's History, Family owned and operated, One of the very few that were able to compete with the Walmarts of the world. I didnt mind paying more because I actually found someone that worked there and they always knew their stuff.
I love Niles. Im just about on my senior year of high school in here and I have created so many memories in so many parts of Niles that I will never forget.
@PureMetalDrummer15 its a city, and he just went down where the old downtown niles was back in the day when the roads were made of bricks. but it can get boring, but every city is like that.
@gogetareeljob Yeah. I don't know, I hate living here because its just empty. Every building downtown is empty. The fun thing to do is go to the movies lol. I do like living close to South Bend though.
@PureMetalDrummer15 just be glad you can go to the movies for cheap ticket and food prices. Movies 14 is just cheap ticket prices, while the food and drinks are expensive, and almost anywhere you go other than coloma, south haven and otsego. most places its like 8-9 bucks to see a movie alone. lol

Yep, that's Downtown Niles. It wasn't always like that though. Before the malls and WalMart's there was every store anyone would ever need. It's even worse over on the East side. There's a defunct and condemned shopping plaza called "Eastgate" which also had many popular stores. Now it's just an eyesore and takes space. I worked at Demond's Grocery Store in 1996. Stores we're coming and going even then. We've lost landmarks and family businesses. Surely no place for mom and pop. Niles is dead.
@btcguy08 good ole demonds, I heard that they are doing something with the eastgate shopping mall. like bringing jc penny back, but who knows if that is really going to happen.
lol, the last light before the bridge you have to be on the left side to go striaght. You went through the right only. I got pulled over for it before. Lol, hope no1 leak this...
