  • I used to ride the PVUSD buses starting in 1969. I used to ride a gillig, bus 43...wow...it must have been a 1950's or earlier, with a huge fan on the back top of the bus. When i went to Bradley in 1970, I rode bus # 21 for years. It was also a gillig. Then, in Jr. high, rode bus 60, and automatic newer gillig, in 8th grade at aptos jr, rode and even older gillig # 28 that had no heater, and going home, rode #52 crown. My first crown. In 10th grade, we got the new crowns you stil see today

  • haha look at eddie!

  • Great to learn from the professionals that biodiesel is a way to preserve the venerable Crown Supercoach school bus. In California, school districts have to scrap these classic beasts in order to purchase new buses; unfortunately, buses with nowhere near the legendary durability of a Crown. If more school districts took the lead of Pajaro Valley with the conversion to biodiesel, we wouldn't have to lament the destruction of some of the best school buses ever built in the name of cleaner air.
