  • it is pixilated?

  • @FreakishHippo Sure if you want to ha ha.

  • @BFCRILEY Hmm... What exactly does it do? Does it just not show up in your videos app? Did you sync the movie file through iTunes?

  • can you have breakfast while it loads?

  • its on m ipad ut i cant play it why????

  • You are a life saver, thanks so much! Does it matter what version or iOSwhatever you have on your Mac in order to us this application?

  • @JonathanObot Sure. I'm here to help. The iOS version that you are using with your iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad shouldn't matter as long as it syncs with iTunes. As far as compatibility with Mac OSX goes, handbrake has links for 32 and 64 bit operating systems running OSX 10.5 or 10.6. I currently use Handbrake with OSX 10.7 and it seems to work fine most of the time.

  • When I look at the activity window it says error on some of the lines that are processing? Please help!

  • @lacrosse782 Does the video finish encoding or does it stop because the error?

  • @StuntMen2536 Yes, it stops and then says the title can not be found, has this ever happend to you?

  • @lacrosse782 Yes that has happened to me but I am not sure what the problem is. I will let you know if I find anything. It might have to do with the disc. Just curious how old is the disc?

  • @StuntMen2536 The two movies i tried were WANTED and ELF. (2003 and 2008)

  • everytime i try to use handbrake is says i have to get the right vlc and I've tried 3 different ones and still says i need another one.please help me out.thanks

  • @sjcrawford69 Make sure you have the right version (64 or 32 bit) from the website not anywhere else. Also make sure you have ran the program a couple times before opening handbrake to encode a video. I will message you a link to the right website.

  • Thanks so much!

  • Youre welcome! :) @SRK191811

  • what is a mac

  • very nice it helped a lot keep it up

  • @arunrina Thanks! :)

  • What does VLC even do?

  • @Whyzbros1222 It helps encode the video format.

  • When my videos done. I go to play it and it stops and starts !! Hhelpp

  • @Barrybaz21 Try Letting the video load for a bit. If that does not work try re-encoding the video making sure all the settings are correct.

  • The handbrake program keeps telling me this: HandBrake could not find VLC or your VLC is incompatible (Note: 32 bit vlc is not compatible with 64 bit HandBrake and vice-versa). I downloaded the right bit version and it doesn't seem to work. Any help?

  • @TRIS9678 Make sure you open and run VLC at least one time before using Handbrake for the system to give it permission to operate. Also, make sure you have the right bit version, but it sounds like you did that correctly. If that doesn't work, then try uninstalling and re installing VLC and Handbrake. Let me know if it works and if you have any other questions.

  • @StuntMen2536 I reinstalled the programs and it seems to work fine now. I do have another question though. I am not doing this with a movie im doing it with a tv show and i wanted to know if it burns all of the episodes if you just leave it at normal settings?

  • @TRIS9678 Between 2:15 and 2:26 I show where you can select a title. There will be all the different episodes and different titles. Then between 3:46 and 4:20 I show you the preview window option. In there you can view what you are about to encode. Just play with it and figure out what title is right. Let me know if you have any other questions.

  • @StuntMen2536 I am having the exact problem as TRIS9678 when trying to install/run the 64 bit. Uninstalling & reinstalling both VLC and Handbrake has not resolved this issue. My iMac with Intel Core 2 Duo should be running the 64 bit, but I can only run 32. Any suggestions??

  • @ultimatealiza Seeing as you have a Core 2 Duo you would have to uninstall both programs and then download the 32bit version of both. The reason for this is because the Core 2 Duo iMac you have only supports 32bit unless you boot to 64bit by holding "6 and 4" on you keyboard. Unless you want to boot to 64bit every time you start up your computer just get the 32bit it still works the same from there.

  • why are you yelling?

  • @x512ACEx Although it seems like I am yelling, the loud audio is due to me using a Turtle Beach PX21 headset. This headset was able to provide high quality recording, so that's why it can get so loud. We may be doing a review on this headset soon, so keep checking back and subscribe.

  • Which version of handbrake do I want for my 27" iMac (32 or 64 bit)?

Nice tutorial. I like your upbeat teaching style!

Was wondering, since your title says how to put DVDs into your iTunes library/iPod, could follow this up tonight with a short segment on how to take that mp4 file you saved to your desktop and put it onto an iPod Touch 4. I didn't see that part covered in this tutorial. Thx!

  • @culinarynomad For the best results I would get the 64bit. That is the one I have on my 21.5" iMac and it works great. To get the video on to your iPod touch or any movie supporting iPod just secondary click on the file and hit open with iTunes. After it is in sync your iPod and make sure that the new movie is selected to sync. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.
