  • So would this be used to dock and autoalign one ship to another?

  • @kenhes More like a shield for the solar radiation, without the ozone it's extremely dangerous

  • are they trying to replicate when flying saucers are doing the same thing?

  • Air hockey has become too complicated for me.

  • Even if we can defies gravity, what about outer space? We'll think about that when we get there.

  • What ever it is there doing makes me want to go take a dump cause that was a load of shit

  • Look at the GEEKSQUAD a 2 million dollar air puck what next 5 million dollar air assisted toilet seat.

  • i dont get what its doing? is it suppost to be floating? can someone please explain?

  • you can make super sonic elevators with these; for the 9,000 floor buildings of the future.

  • great idea...lets use strong magnets to curve the trajectory of metallic space debris moving around us at orbital velocity into our crafts flight path so a near miss becomes a disaster lol

  • To all those dimwits who don't get the idea and aren't shy to embarrass themselves:

The idea is that it's MUCH easier and effective to change rotation of a spacecraft in a fleet of 2 with just electromagnetic attraction/repulsion powered by solarpanels than using limited rocket fuel propulsion. It's a great idea and saves alot of weight that can be used elsewhere.

  • Computers advanced thanks to semi conductors and ie the micro ship not because of NASA...they kept on going so those sattelites orbiting world could be placed out there..to.Spy on the world.......rest is a sham.. Computers advanced do to programs ie Microsoft not any Aerospsace.

  • it's "Labratory geek squads" like these wasting government money to propel science, you moron! you wouldn't be listening to mp3s if it weren't for geeks and nerds "wasting" government money.

this technology will at some point deliver new knowledge, something you obviously don't have much of...

  • @peterkleinlich just that reason this whole country is destroyed economically --think everybody seez the results? Don't see any spaceships flying to MARs huh?

  • @deltaalpha21074 i dont know where you base this information off of but just because we use a small fraction of percent of our money on space tech nologies doesn't mean its wasted because it has given many new technologies to consumers already such as the computers that everyone has in their homes to date

  • @kyle9003 total horseshit---the creeps or old farts who went to some colleges or some UNIV make sure all the money goes to that same college for crap thinking you are so smart well seems John Hutchinson made Anti Gravity for """FREE""" his own experiments and Los Alamos visited--I wold have told em to screw off!!!

  • @deltaalpha21074 Sigh. Look, it may not look impressive, but all this simple-looking stuff (and no, son, it ain't simple) eventually leads to bigger discoveries & bigger steps. EVERYTHING that we all take for granted in this awesome world started in places like this. Get a grip.

  • @peterkleinlich Speaking of spacecraft propulsion technology. Could those big round relective satellites that I see with the naked eye be propelled by HAARP technology using millions if watts of radio power pointed at them? I think so. Look how static electicity will attract a balloon. Now imagine a zero atmospere. There is nothing to stop it from moving. Using HAARP to keep satellites in proper orbit or move them to a strategic position to attack adversaries becomes a military option.

  • @deltaalpha21074 This coming from a 9/11-JFK conspiracy man. Yeah...I'll take what you say to heart. How about this for an idea, cap'n: Put down the blunt, get out of the basement, get a degree, a mate, make a life for yourself & stop with the blame game.

  • @MyceliaProductions42 Never forget who pull strings even if you are famous!!!just pawns to BIG CORPS...wake up! I don't spend my whole life trolling internet....I already have my achievements and not single dime from this Lying corrupt system either!

  • Oh if only it were possible to stick my arm through the internet and slap you behind the head.

  • XD I would be glad to help build the technology to smack you through the internet too.

  • Geez, what are these machines smoking?

  • I think a magnet based craft attracting and repeling itself between planets in space with no friction or drag would probably move extremely fast and use no fule... ;)

  • So magnets attract and repel each-other wow! this guys are geniuses I'll send them a million buck so they can come up with more awesome discoveries!

  • High tech floating magnets. what a new concept! ha.

  • magnet air hockey ... sweet ... not

  • does anyone know what application the magnetic orbs are for? arent meteors comprised mainly of iron? clump a few that have maybe boosters or explosives? could this be used to keep satellites from colliding? i had myself declared a giant midget. the parkings great.

  • congradulations, you've created magnets.

  • LOL!!! yeah.....this just seems like a needlesly complicated experiment to show that electromagnets attract one another!!!!! Those silly guys at MIT LOL

  • haha

  • OMG, thats epic with the steam AND stuff,

btw in guessing that what goes in is liquid nitrogen too super cool the magnts, and in space this will happen naturally cus of the cold

  • A real waste of anything that goes in there... If you want stuff to float slighty above a surface then use goddamn air hockey tables!

  • hahahah

    yes

  • LOL!!!!

  • Would the magnetic fields be able to repel satellites travelling at 17000mps?

  • How very foolish of me. This technology of attracting and repelling are for keeping the models in the right arrangements and not to propell them. So these models are surrounded by coils with currents running through them in different direction or same direction depending on to attract or repel. And the best thing is that this never needs fuel because the magnetic field is created by currents generated from solar rays. Why did you foil the wires?

  • Can you please explain how attracting and repelling propels the rocket? I am confused. I liked another clip elsewhere here where a high intensity light is used too propell the model high in the sky. The result was pretty good, it went to at least 20 metres high. This approach, i am not sure though

  • I am gonna guess that this is not necessarily to propel the rocket through space.....they are probably using this as an Idea on how to move two objects in orbit closer and farther from one another...just using electromagnets.....at least that is the only purpose I can imagine!!!

  • MIT is like 90% Asian lol

  • yeah where is the spacecraft?

  • let's all gang up on the oil conglumerate's and tell them to keep there shit...they had it their way for too long... robbing all your money...for a long time when we could have had this tec.. a long time ago.. ; )

  • This is weak!!

I have designed a magnet motor that does not need shielding and does not need any help to start rotating with a battery or by hand and is not a clam shell stator. mine will produce without stopping 25KW in the following demensions 12" dia by 25" long!

I have configured a much better Unit. I commend you for your efforts

I AM SEEKING FUNDING FOR MY UNIT. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN INVESTING $25,000 FOR THE FIRST PROTOTYPE THEN CONTACT ME AT thefuturenow4u at yahoo

  • lets see a vid of it then

  • space ship`? space boat maybe

  • Take a look at some of the other videos offered by this guy. Gay sex? Wtf?

  • CAPTAIN!!! WE'VE SENSED AN UNKNOWN MASS AHEAD!

calm down matey. turn on the reactor wheel and turn on the coil.

  • what the hell does do???

  • i don't get it. looks more expensive than it is impressive

  • LOL this vid has some of the FUNNIEST comments

  • haha! i think ur right! whats with that porno one! haahha

  • if your close your eyes and watch this it sounds like porno video.

  • what kinda of porn do u listen to! pervert

  • hahaha

you have porn in your radio?

    LOL

  • The sun will break it.

  • do you even know what the sun is?

  • do you even know what the sun is?

  • ...the sun will break it? wtf is that supposed to mean?

  • Gravity, solar radiation, sun flares, and the solar wind will reek havoc on this magnetic waist of money.

  • Gravity and sun radiation will break it? No.. Gravity will make it stick in orbit. Radiation (EM) will give it power. However, yes, sun flares could reek havoc on it, but I maybe the magnetic field could be adjusted to protect it as our earths magnetic field does with us.

  • LOL! 'Reek' havoc, 'Waist' of money

    Nice typos :D

  • I like them. They keep it real.

Solar radiation will crush this little college kid toy. They may figure something else out because of it though...while investigating the crash.

  • umm, i guess this is cool. with more i guess you could have control.

  • Instead off rocketfuel/gas or whatever etc to posistion the satelites whit each other to correct positions you use magnets to move them around instead. specific electromagnets working on solar power. now you can't run out of fuel sudenly as there is unlimited amount off eletricity to move them instead as long as the solarpanels get some sun on them.

  • but you can run out of momentum - in last two tests you can hear whinning of gyrospe trying to hold "spacecraft" at right angle - and failing

  • because you can control where you want to move, you can disable if you need. also works over some distance.

usual magnets have none of above proprieties.

  • It all seems a bit stop and start and needs a lot of work to change from one thing to another. Im still unimpressed.

  • dude, this thing is intended for space (;

  • It's research. Extrapolate to the finish product and you may be impressed.
