  • can you upload the whole fight between yee and le?

  • Cung Le tooked it easy on Jason Yee, it was obvious. If Cung Le went all out, Jason Yee would've been knocked the fuck out.

  • who won that fight at the end?

  • Traditional martial arts the way it ought to be!

  • SpectralTempest, your a tool. Jason Yee was top dog back in the day because he took on all challengers at major championships. What were you doing then? Oh yeah, pooping in your diapers.

  • His sanda is a joke, and his wushu is sloppy average at best. I suppose this exposure is due to the novelty back then.

  • yep

  • I don't know about hos sanda, but I completely agree with your assessment about his wushu

  • To perform forms and sanda, thats pretty rare and he does pretty well. Mind you he was competing against china and there some picky people when it comes to skills! Hes probably done alot more then you ever well, dont be jealous kid. What has you done in life? lol Jason ain't top notch but hes good for his day. Sanda was in its infancy back then in terms of rules and competitors, also average sloppy people cant do 360 twist kicks with a heavy kwan dao in there hand....that takes skill

  • he thinks he is bruce lee lol wannabe

  • i defeated him!! yester dya i did my homework

  • Thaiboer versus kung fu (like this guy) in a K-1 fight. who wins? explain why, please

  • Under San Shou rules the Kung Fu fighter (watch Cung Le vs Phil Petit). Under K-1 kickboxing rules it could go either way. I'd love to see Cung Le vs. Buakaw Por. Pramuk.

  • that would be good, but buakaw is old for a thai

  • He's 27 and he's competitive with the K-1 elite. I think he is young enough to fight a 37 year old Cung Le.

  • He's also 155 to Cung's 185lbs.

I'd say Cung's students, but the most notable, Anthony Johnson, has yet to reach Cung's seamlessness with Sanda.

  • @Dynaman21 Jason was around 170 for that fight.

  • people forget Cung Le's 3-0 in K-1. He just prefers sanshou where he can use hes freestyle and greco-roman takedowns. Cung was a beast back in his wrestling days tho..

  • @anhkhoinguyen Have you even watched those fights? Those are pro San Shou matches.

  • he really looks like bruce lee

  • This guy and Cung Le are both awesome fighters.

When Jason talks, does he come off as somewhat pretentious (but in a good way) like say......a guy named Bruce Lee?

  • haha ya this guy is pretentious in a good way, not like bruce lee

  • his weapons performance is spectacular.

  • his form's okay...

  • i wanna do sanshou so bad...

  • Which state are you in?

  • i live in Southern Cali but the only sanshou place that iv been told about that's near is in Arcadia, and lol thats not near me at all!

  • Message me the name of the nearest big town and I'll see if I can make some suggestions

  • Corona CA, Norco CA, Riverside CA, Los Angeles CA, Santa Ana CA, Fullerton CA, Chino Hills CA, Pomona CA lol yea all i could think of..

  • do a google search for : sityodtong los angeles

this is one of the best muay Thai gyms in the country. Do at least a year with them before moving onto anything else. you need master the thai stuff to do modern san shou.

  • ok thanks.

  • google search : jiujitsuman

They will train San Shou fighters on their stand up nights at their gym in Costa Mesa

  • ur a cool person thanks a bunch for finding those places, but ill have you know to not worry cuz i have been searching for places myself (googling of course), but can't seem to find any places. However Costa Mesa is EXTREMELY far away from me, lol im sorry but do you know of any in Corona that's where i live, or in Norco, Riverside, Fullerton, Santa Ana??? any gyms that teach sanshou?

  • Is that place called South Coast Martial Arts?

  • do you happen to know the name of the sanshou place that you heard about in Arcadia?

  • huh oh yea dog, uhm just look up Sanshou MMA in Arcadia. i forgot the name but im sure you'll find it jus tkeep looking, hey can u hit me up to when you hear of a place as well?

  • she´s a fag

  • I wish Jason Yee would compete in MMA

  • Cung is much better suited to MMA

  • yea and Cung is much better suited as being called "the king of sanshou"

  • there is only 1 king of sanshou his name is liu hailong

  • @SoundwaveSuperior373 Don't be so sure. What about Muslim Salikov?

  • @solistas95 muslim is very good n i seen his fight with liu alot of ppl say muslim should of won its all disputable but i would still give it to liu

  • @SoundwaveSuperior373 No, he sould have won.. He was definitely better with much more points... It was an unfair desicion..

  • cung le vs jason

  • Wushu is Wushu not Wu Shu.

  • he is sexy. I love Asian guys

  • "As an amateur, Jason Yee was one of the best fighters the US has ever produced. He was the first American to win a medal in international competition and a multiple time national champion. As a trainer, he pioneered US San Shou with his ?dream team?. Jason retired from amateur competition in 1995 feeling he had achieved what could be achieved. That was two years before there was such a thing as professional San Shou. Tempted by the lure of professional San Shou and also in large part to...

  • ...help promote the sport, Jason agreed to fight Cung Le on the Pay-Per-View event held in Florida in 1997. Jason agreed to go up in weight. For a man who hadn?t fought in two years, had gone up in weight and who had been sick for months before the fight, Jason Yee put in a strong performance but lost a decision to Cung. Jason retired once again to focus on his movie career only to be lured back at the beginning of the year by the prospect of a few high profile matches.

  • Gentlemen, go to watch "Cung Le vs. Jason Yee - Dark Assassin Action Scene" which I just posted! And click on "more info" on "Cung Le - "The Bruce Lee of MMA"" to watch more Cung Le's greatest matches. Thanks

  • Movies are so fiction

  • Thanks for the historical info.

  • he plays in DARK WARRIOR

  • tnx for share...This man is awesome...I understand :)

  • He does Sanda - the best ring sport

  • I like it to. Bruce and Sammo at Shaolin at the beggining of Enter the Dragon :D.

  • wow, he looks like bruce lee

  • But bruce lee was'nt doing ring fights :|

  • He did do tournaments

  • Bruce never competed in tournaments. He did demos.

  • @unclebraddah I think he fought as a youngster in a Navy tourny. Nothing official of course.

  • @Thealmostguy He fought in a high school boxing match during his teens. That's the extent to any known public competitions he was in.

  • jason has a bruce lee resemblence going

  • oh my....he is damn fit and cute... =)

  • so who won?

    I'm guessing cung le.

  • super der junge ist gut

  • is this jason who lost against r. gracie in the ufc?

  • No that was Jason DeLucia mate.

  • ok. tnx

  • i wish i could have seen the rest of the fight between jason and cung and see who won

  • Yes PLEASE someone post that match lol. Well Cung lost to Jason in the movie Dark Assasin lol, but edged the decision in their match lol.

  • he would of competed with sifu shance lacey

  • i wished all the bullshido artists was like this instead of making gay ceographed shows

  • excellent! really admire someone that practices wushu both taolu and sanda, and in in this case, take it to such a superior level! true wushu warrior exponent!

  • His face is a winner, never mind the other things.

  • great to see he's becoming a movie star!

  • He used to train at the boston kung-fu tai chi institute. He left about a year before I started training there. I've talked to a few students who've trained with him and he's definetly the real deal.

  • where is this kid now never heard of him

  • This is old school. I looked up to this guy when I first started martial arts when I was like 10 years old. He was big in the 90's. I think he's making movies in Asia now.

  • I wish someone would post vids of Jason Yee's Fights. I really want to see the fight between him and Cung Le.

  • Yes, me too. But if we watch Cung Le Fight Reel, you will see Cung Le took Jason down 3 times by using scisors kick, fisted on face, and wrestling.

  • Cung Le would OK him in a match!!!

  • Cung Le= Vietnamese Pride

  • Cung Le clearly won in a 5 round decision, not by KO. They were both champs at the time. Jason Yee was the champion in the weight class below Cung Le. He put on weight to take the natually bigger Cung Le. Not to take anything away from Cung but, Jason Yee ruled Sanda in the US before Cung. Much respect from NYC baby!!

  • Boston Sanda represent

  • since cung le is undefeated, its a fair guess that he won it

  • so, who win the match between Cung Le and Hason Yee???

  • I remember reading somewhere that Cung won by headkick KO.

  • Cung beat Jason pretty handily in 1997 or 1998 in the first ever American pro San Shou match. However, Jason's students tend to beat Cung's students.

There was no knockout, head kick or otherwise.

Cung is *not* undefeated in San Shou. He has 2 losses.
