I'd say if you can get it for a really good price it's not bad, but lacks a few features that other camcorders have. It's not so great in low light (indoors) when you'll find that the picture gets quite noisy. I think some of those flip-type cameras might be just as good and more convenient for many purposes. I actually sold my Kogan to get a Zoom Q5HD, which is a flip-style camera with really great audio quality, as I wanted mainly to do music videos. Also, Kogan have updated the model since.
