The sad fact is that Norm Chomski is hated by both the LEFT (Neo-liberals) and RIGHT (Neo-conservatives) in American politics...reguardless of his contribution to 21st century social political thought. In any case it dosent matter, what matters is that he was able to articulate the very nature of power mechanisms and structures within western ideological governmental and corporational ruling systems..as well as the fundamental rules that such powers adear to..ULTIMATELY showing the injustice.
Are you people commenting on the video? He's talking (in this part) about West (US, England, France )involvement in heir "colonies", and how that intervention contributed the crisis situation there..Which is true.

What a boring old fart! Unions the bulwark of Democracy? In the 60's and 70's you couldn't get into the best paying unions unless you were related to a member. The unions handed over the auto industry to Toyota.
The rich run everything, they always have and always will. Chomsky knows this. He has no solutions. It's every man for himself. Only hard work, education, discipline and common sense, getting out of debt and spending less than you make allows you to live comfortably, now or then.
self sufficiency is always the only answer a strong man will accept. however this is much harder when 1/2 my resources are extorted by the govt. i cant even buy anything w/out giving uncle sam another 8.9%. as long as its every man for himself well all (even those who are relatively comfortable) remain slaves.
Small taxes are good for Big Business, not for the average American. That's why the "low taxes" are lobbied by the corporations. if you would have higher taxes you could afford better health care and education, which would be free. Most of the funding would come from the corporations, which now benefit from low taxes earning millions. In the end result you would have more money because you wouldn't spend it on health and education.
@seezarorest always got your hand out?? i guess were just too different for you to understand me.. im always paying for losers like you. i dont get money from the govt .. they take mine away.. like commies, " pull him down, keep him in line. hes too much better than us. take some of his". if i was a loser like you id want communism to. at least that way you worthless masses eat.
@extremetea First of all you don't know me..Thus making such presumptions makes you look stupid. Judging from your comment you are the looser, because you base your "knowledge" on statements of other people that de facto don't give a shit about you. While not being able to understand the issue you use simple cold war propaganda.. There is no point in arguing with an idiot because it is impossible to make a point to him.. ;)
@extremetea like "commies"? lol what a joke, what is this 1955?? are you actually that ignorant? Inter-generationally perpetualed idiocy is a bitch. Better stop using the streets, going to the library, using the post office, taking your kids to the parklands, all very "commie" things. So fucking ignorant it's unreal!
and "worthless masses" yeah, and what are you a part of you dolt?
@seezarorest Taxes in America on corporations and individuals are very high compared to most nations. lower taxes encourage growth and give people more to spend and more jobs can be created, benefiting the poor and wealthy alike.
@crazynatedog most nations? I'm not sure of most nations, but US has some of the lowest among the industrialized, rich countries. That's why there is generally higher standards of living and less poverty and homelessness, better infrastructure, universal healthcare, and so on in those other countries.
Chomsky is a sell-out, he was paid to lie about 9/11and is a mason, and Amy you too better come clean about 9/11, all chickens scared of losing their job and reputation, so not(or dis)-informing the public is easier.
Even IF 911 WAS an "inside job", criticizing people who are working against the elite power structure simply because they refuse to acknowledge it will not help.
The "911 truth" movement has been effectively marginalized, making their claims irrelevant, whether true or not. At the same time, the crimes governments and international corporations have committed OUT IN THE OPEN are just as murderous and illegal, but not nearly as speculative or controversial.
Well, thanx 2 YT I can't even retrieve or read my own comment, but I think I recall, and Mr. C, is part of the same group that is designing, implementing and executing these crimes, he is just another arm of the octopus, the controlled opposition, if you control both sides of the isle you can actually make people think they have a say, or even create heroes, all in the peoples eye. Propagandized by the controlled media, and accepted as truth.
I'm willing to entertain the hypothesis that Chomsky is "part of the same group that is designing, implementing and executing" the crimes of the US government, and I certainly don't agree with everything Chomsky says.
However, to say that he is part of a global conspiracy, especially when he is shunned by the mainstream media, is an extraordinary claim, which demands extraordinary evidence.
What evidence do you have for this outside of mere speculation?
First things first, that is the most intelligent reply I've had regarding my highly controversial statements. I cannot supply the evidence you require to solidify your suspicions. I can speak 4 myself, and there is evidence regarding Mr. C, receiving financial backing in some form or other to propagate the "terror" doctrine regarding 9/11. The Disinformation Company Ltd. 163 3rd. Av. NY 10003, (check out the logo).
@somecomputergeek the fact that you'd entertain the first hypothesis suggests you've not read any of his work. however your second point calling for evidence regarding extraordinary claims is definitely appropriate.
When I say "entertain the hypothesis", I'm simply saying "OK, for the sake of argument, let's say you're on to something". That doesn't mean I accept it. I can entertain the hypothesis that the earth is flat and that the idea of a round earth is based entirely on deliberate misinformation by some conspiracy, but that doesn't mean I accept it, nor does it mean I think it is even remotely likely.
Expecting you have read my previous comments,....I must say Ms. Goodman is entitled to much respect, but ......she(in my humble opinion), is not clear about 9/11 , avoiding the subject. Why??, would B my 1st question. Is it not obvious it was an inside job?, This makes me lean towards her not having prioritized her possibilities, and has chosen the way of water(least resistance).
He makes some very good points on not only the lack of importance the 'developing world' is facing but also possible causes for why they are in such a situation.

the whole two party system is illusion. its good to see at least 1 other who gets it. food for thought
"the land of the free" incarcerates the highest % of its population. (far more than "repressive dictatorships" like iran, china, and cuba.)
