Gmerl kinda reminds me of Emerl from sonic battle maybe Eggman reprogrammed Emerl to change him to Gmerl and he lost his memory but Gmerl doesn't work by the chaos emeralds anymore chaos it will take eggman a long time to get the emeralds from sonic and the gang thumbs up if you agree!

I miss this game so much..it was so awesome and fun man a Perfect end to a perfect Trioligy...I never got to play Advance 2 though and I played a bit of Advance but I never owned it but this was my first GBA game and I miss it so much but I'll never forget the good memories playing this awesome game I think all games were good - Rush and Rush Advetnure are just as good as the Advance games IMO I enjoyed them all I wish Gemerl appeared again it's a shame he only appears in this Perfect ending!

im happy Emerl was not really dead after sonic battle. ive only just recently learned that he was Gemerl. SEGA's knows that they should never kill cool characters like Shadow and Emerl, thats why they came back the next game after. i hope to see Gemerl in future games.

Lol, I had this game when I was younger, got all of the 7 Chaos emeralds, then I did'nt know how to use the Tag Action!It took me many tries, until I accidently held down the L and R Button.It took me about 2 Game Overs till I finally knew how to use it XD

Emerl is a gizoid that Sonic found in Sonic Battle. He's mostly freindly util the end. In the end, he dies or something.

Gmerl is either an Eggman-rebuilt and brainwashed Emerl or just an advanced copy of Emerl (Eggman has been making Emerl knockoffs since Sonic Battle). Either way, its a mostly loyal Eggman bot.

@metaXzero Actually emerl gets the last emerald and goes berserk after seeing eggmans "final egg blaster" blow up a planet and then sonic destroys him.

Gemerl is actually a perfected version of Eggmans old Pi robots (Emerl clones that used emerald shards in sonic battle)

Their is nothing stopping Eggman from recovering Emerl's remains and integrating them into Gmerl. So it's not impossible for Gmerl to just be a reborn Emerl.

@MegamanX20100 Yea but Shadow's first intention in SA2 is to avenge for Maria like what Gerald told him to do so. Eggman thought Shadow was really helping him to rule the world, but it turn out that he was just taken advantage by Shadows to collect Chaos Emeralds.

@abc2390986 That's true. Regardless though, Shadow was still unclear at the time anyways. In SA2, Shadow is first seen as a ruthless villian. At the time he didn't even seem afraid of his own power (this was a limitation Gerald put on his inventions to keep them from being full-blown war machines)! Only those who stuck to beating SA2 found a small thing that Shadow says during the game (when The Biolizard uses Chaos Control to merge with the Space Colony ARK and become FinalHazard).

u have to collect all the chaos emeralds by geting all the chao in the stages and getting a key and completing each special stage hidden in each stage select area by getting enough rings in the special stage in order to transform into super sonic, which is the gold sonic, which is what DBZ supposedly used for "super sayan"
