  • every one in my family has scottish names ,we have me ciara (key-R-eh) carrick (care-rick) liam (le-umm) and my dad charles

  • Lachlan and Liam are wonderful names. And Graham and Lachlan are the top names for my children.

  • I'd say the most overused name in Scotland at the moment is Sean. I'm not kidding, I know more than 14 people named Sean!!!

  • I used to think Lennox was such a cool name until I mentioned it to my mother and she said "reminds me of the grills" haha so all I can thinking of when hearing that name are the Lennox grills :P

  • I'm from Scotland and my name is Sophie - the top girls' name at the moment but my mother says she didn't know any other children called Sophie when I was born (I'm 21). And my brother is called Oliver.

    I agree that Callum, Finlay, Alastair, Graham, Isla and Iona are really popular in Scotland!!

  • @AnastasiaRuby I used to think that the name Astrid was very different but so beautiful. Now, whenever I hear it, all I can think of is flipping the 'R' and the 'I' in Astrid and getting 'Ass turd'.
