This is wicked catchy song! I must say Rafi Saab sounds awesome! His voice sounds so vibrant & fresh and so young! Shame RD didn't use Rafi more frequently in his catchy compositions! Ironically RD rise to fame was the film Teersi Manzil in the 60s which had all Rafi songs!

RD Burman sang it, but he was going through a phase were he lost his voice. He did the recording with Rafi Sb regardless, hoping they will rerecord in the stereo. Unfortnatily Rafi Sb passed away and they never did the re-recording. Hence, a real Hoarse voice of RD!!!

That is not Amitabh singing. I think the voice here is that of the composer R.D. Burman. Compare the voice to the "Mehbooba" song sung by R.D. Burman in Sholay. The voice here sounds similar to that.
