As Hank, Jr once said in one of his old recordings...'There can never be another Hank Williams friends', this rings true with Shooter as well and I love him 'cuz' he has the courage to be himself. hank jr. took a lot of crap because he done music his way. Waylon did'nt let anyone tell him how to do his music. Both are pretty much icons today. As they both sang on the song, Leave that boy alone and let him sing his song.

Easy to critique anything. Piston was right about one thing though. Shooter will never sing like his dad, but has the balls to sing like himself and that is what makes him great! No one will ever sing like Waylon and that's that! Waylon fought his way around jackasses that cut him down and kicked him out and won. GO SHOOTER!

If you went to a club in 2008, and some young long haired red necks broke into AYSHDITW would you you jump up and say "You're a Disgrace to Ole Waylon"?, Or would you say "Hell yea, God bless you for keeping Waylon's spirit alive". I wouldn't care if it was Puff Daddy up there on stage, I would proclaim the ladder. Why not show the boy just a little respect? He chose his own path, and followed his Daddy's advice, "Don't try to be something you ain't".

That really makes sense... geeze. Listen to the frigging words of the song... Waylon wrote it because he was being rejected for being different... Why can't Shooter do the same? Just because he has 'Jennings' in his name doesn't mean that he can't be his own person.

I'm a 32 year old Waylon fan but never heard Shooter's music before. He doesn't have his Dad's classic voice, but the band really lays down that trademark kick-ass Waylon beat to the bone right here!

the first time I ever Shooter, I looked at my friend and said "that reminds me of Waylon, it just has the Waylon Jennings vibe to it." Then when the song was over on the radio they said it was Shooter!
