  • What did they play for their LA offering? I was there the night before when it rained. Totally irrelevant. Sorry.

    Long live Genesis!!!!

  • Im 16 years old and on my Youtube Channel I have uploaded a very very lots of Genesis Live records, Genesis is my life. Sadly I started to be a fan in End of October 2007, how stupid is that?

Im so much jealous of everyone here who had the chance to see this band

everytime I listen to the Dukes Travels Solo or Los Endos, I have to Cry, really

Please everyone here, get me 80 Million dollars by the weekend in the name of jesus so that I can buy a time machine :)

  • I never saw this...I now I'm fucking criying, I'm 50 and Genesis was a part of my youth...thx guys !

  • Thank to the Divine, and the mystery of Life and Love, for Genesis being in my life!

  • i've seen them 13 times, and i will miss them Huge! Did not see this tour, but got the Rome DVD. It is Fantastic. They are the best of the best.

  • They should have got a new album out or ep... maybe if they think it might tarnish the genesis name then release for free online!

  • @skintrade I agree 100%

  • best ever

  • His 3 marriages didnt last as long as his career in genesis. Just a bit of humour.

  • They have been going as long as my parents marriage.

  • I love Phil Collins. I love Genesis.

  • And what did they play then?

  • send me email and ill send some pics with me and my gal inPhil's dressing rom w/his daughter

  • "I'm 56, I joined this band when I was 19."

Says quite a bit doesn't it? Long live GENESIS!

  • It does say a hell of alot.. they dont make bands like Genesis anymore ... Who these days could say they had been in a bad for 37 years!

  • I can only think of two other great bands with this longevity. Earth, Wind & Fire & The Rolling Stones.

  • @klwewf U2 is working on it:)

  • @trsidn When was U2 formed? I know the 3 bands I refer to (Genesis, EWF & The Stones) started in the mid late 60's.

  • @klwewf Mid 70's, so they still have a little ways to go, but they seem pretty solid:)

  • @klwewf I believe U2 formed in 83 or 84. Or that was when they became "big". May have formed earlier.

  • @klwewf There is also the Eagles. They are a little younger but not by much. Iron Maiden is also getting up there if you want to count metal. I'm ecclectic when it it comes to music, I love almost all varieties. Wish I could have had a chance to see these guys. Something tells me they will never do another tour. :(

  • @BoUrnNe26 You are absolutely right. And, I love The Eagles. Don't know how I let that one passed. Now, Iron Maiden probably would have never occured to me. But, you are right.

  • @BoUrnNe26 I'm not seeing a tour happening, unless Phil agrees to just sing and not get behind the kit. I don't know how they could top this tour, anyway. I'm in the same boat as you, been a fan most my life, never saw them live. Thank goodness for taped concerts!

  • @kamwrites WHAT???? Phil LOVES being a drummer. In fact, that's how he will sign his personal autograph for you - as he did for me: Phil Collins, The Drummer, then the Singer."

  • @pacific707 Yes, but that doesn't help his nerve damage any, does it?

  • I hope someday they do another record, another tour! This was emotional speech and i wish they carry on,genesis forever!...

  • i got some great pics of me and phil, mike rutherford was incredibly friendly,so was chester....didnt get to meet tony or darryl steurmer, but was in the same room w/them.had 8th row seats

  • I hope they carry on....with Peter and Steve!!!

  • kEEP DREAMING HEHEHE

  • lol Mike and Mechanics I know Mike in Genesis made the band up back in the 80's when Phil was busy with his solo career

  • Thanks for posting this. I was there for the 2 nights. Flew in from UK. First time in LA. Four times alltogether i saw Genesis on this tour and guess what? Yep it rained at 3 of the 4 gigs. Katowice Polska was the best though. Pete & Steve will play with Genesis again late in 2008. It's a def for sure!!

  • when and where?????

they arent doing the "LAMB" are they???

i met phil (got his e-mail address too)

  • a bit off topic... but if you have got Phil's email address perhaps you could recommend the egoscue method to him. I have reason to believe that this could help his spinal problem...

It certainly has been the best form of treatment I've experienced for a shoulder injury... the science is very sound...Frankly, orthodox medicine is pretty cr** for muskuloskeletal disorders... Good luck Phil...

  • PHIL DRESSING LIKE PETER?

  • i was backstage....me and my gal were in Phils dressing room chatting with him on the final night

  • I envy you!

  • Wow, that was really great to be able to see, thanks for posting! :-)

  • omg thats my dad who says 'come on philly!' and my brother and mum's heads at the beginning....

  • Unbelievable tour! Their best yet! There's hope for something in 2008 so we'll have to wait and see.

  • Great ending

    Fantastic tour

    Most amazing band in history

  • Thanks for putting this up. I was in tears watching this the first time. Saw them 4 times this tour - truly the greatest band EVER!

  • Thanks so much for posting this! I can only hope they come back, "sometime, somewhere."

  • Excellent video!

I can't believe it... I can actual hear myself screaming... "I LOVE YOU PHIL!". It's faint, but it is at 2:14. I have a big mouth!

  • I had front row at this show! I got to see them 3 times on this tour and GOD I hope it isn't their last!! THANKS GENESIS!!! I love you guys forever! And you too Peter Gabriel, even though you decided not to join them! Oh yeah, and Steve Hackett as well!!

  • No love for Ray Wilson? :-(

  • Nothing against Ray...just not familiar with him with or not with Genesis.

  • Pure class.

  • I saw them in Berne, front row, fantastic, even better that the tour I followed 20 years ago

  • Ahhhhhh really great and sweet words of Phil, what a great band, they are the best and most lovely band ever!!!

First I saw Phil twice in 2004 and this year Genesis tow times, my dreams came true, thanks again guys!

  • Thank-you, Genesis. More than any other band, your music is the soundtrack of my life.

  • Thank so much for uploading this video.

Made my cry, thinking of them leaving and listening to Phil's farewell speech.

WE LOVE YOU GENESIS!!!! and I sure as hell miss them.

I saw them on Toronto and I wish I could do it again they were so perfect as always.

  • Thank you so much for this. What an emotional night.

  • Bugger, really want them to do another tour so I can finally see them

  • Thank you so much for sharing this, I was there the night before and it got cut short because of the rain so we really didn't get a proper goodbye at the end of the show.

  • See if you can come to Spain next time, you little bastards!

  • My heart is breaking, thank you so much for sharing this! 5 shows which made up one of the best September's of my life.
